"Camel’s milk, as well as being low in fat, also contains vitamin B, iron and unsaturated fatty acids. Its nutritional value has led to a range of health claims. One small study, released by the Camel Applied Research and Development Network, found camel's milk could help treat Type 1 diabetes".

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4930120.stm

"Tasting slightly more salty than cows' milk, but with three times the vitamin C and up to 10 times the iron content, camel's milk is touted as a powerful tonic against many diseases and as an aphrodisiac."

http://abcnews.go.com/International/story...

"Some research suggests that camel milk antibodies can help fight diseases like cancer, HIV-AIDS, Alzheimer's and hepatitis C. In Kenya, studies are under way to determine the effect of camel milk on diabetes and heart disease."

"Camel milk is a centuries-old staple for nomadic tribes across the Middle East and Africa. It is also drunk by elderly men to enhance virility; by the sick to treat a variety of ailments; and by those who believe it has magical properties."

"She gets a phone call almost every week from Abdirizak Mohamuod, a Somalian man in Minnesota who sells dried fruits and ethnic food. He says he has at least 70,000 Somalian customers in Minnesota who would buy it.'We would like to get the milk as soon as possible,', he said."

http://www.fao.org/ag/againfo/themes/en/dairy...

"The world’s biggest camel milk producer is Somalia, with 850,000 tonnes a year, followed by Saudi Arabia with 89,000 tonnes."

Nutrition :

"Camel milk is slightly saltier than cows’ milk, three times as rich in Vitamin C and is known to be rich in iron, unsaturated fatty acids and B vitamins. It is a natural and essential food item in areas where there is a scarcity of water and forage. High levels of wastage are often reported as herds are usually far from ready urban markets, particularly during the highest production season.
In Russia, Kazakhstan and India, doctors often prescribe it to convalescing patients while, in Africa, it may be recommended for people living with AIDS. Research is also ongoing into the role claimed for camel milk in reducing diabetes and coronary heart disease."

I remember when I was new to Norway and saw people buying a lot of milk. I couldn't believe people will be drinking all this milk. I later realized that Norwegians use milk for cooking food instead of water.

I couldn't agree more with you sis. Home is not home until you drink the traditional Caano geel which is the most healthiest milk out there. It's benefits are unlimited. They're even trying to research as to why Nomadic people are LESS prone to diseases.

It's time for somalians to stop drinking camel milk and drink cow milk like humans do. That might help you start acting like human beings.
