71 killed and 300 injured, but for what and why? It is for 2 warlords fighting over who will lead the region and each one of them, their diaspora respective tribal brethren are supporting them regardless if they are wrong or, right. They will be celebrating the deaths of their civilian enemies and this is indicative that in Somalia, the true god is the Tribe. The cultural rituals of fasting Ramadan and praying must go on?

71 Somalis mostly civilians (women and children) are killed and 300 others are wounded and you won't hear a word here from those fake weepers with crocodile tears condemning the un-necessary deaths of these civilians because for them, it is a just cause when it comes to Somali tribal cleansing. The tribal philosophy is under-pinned by the rules that the other tribe must stand-up and revenge for the honour of their dead. Those fake bleeding hearts would like us to believe they do care of the 2 or, 3 Somalis killed in South Africa. They also want us to believe that they do care about Israelis killing Palestinians but, when it comes to their own and the killing the weakest members of their society, it is a fair game. Hypocrisy on steroids, while they continue with their cultural rituals of fasting Ramadan and prayers.

Up to 70 dead in Somali warlords' battle

BATTLES between rival warlords in Somalia's key southern port city of Kismayo have killed at least 71 people n four week, UN officials say, clashes Mogadishu has accused Kenyan troops of encouraging.

"Recent fierce fighting... continues to have a profound impact on civilians and humanitarian aid work in the Lower Juba region," the UN's World Health Organisation (WHO) said, adding the clashes also left more than 300 injured in June.

"Injuries and deaths outside the hospital are estimated to be much higher but cannot be confirmed," the WHO added, which supports hospitals treating the war-wounded in Kismayo.

Clashes have put on hold a vital mass polio vaccination campaign, after the first cases were confirmed six years after Somalia was declared free of the crippling virus.

"Kismayo remains a volatile area, with observed increase in fighting among warring factions, and other incidences of violence such as landmines and hand grenade attacks," the WHO added.

Several rival factions are battling for control of Kismayo, a strategic and economic hub in the southern Jubaland region. They include former Islamist chief Ahmed Madobe, who in May appointed himself "president" of Jubaland, and Bare Hirale, a former Somali defence minister who also leads a powerful militia.

Somalia's government has demanded that Kenyan troops stationed in Kismayo as part of an African Union force be replaced, accusing them of backing Madobe's Ras Kamboni militia, which opposes Mogadishu's rule.

Kenyan troops, which invaded Somalia in 2011, fought alongside Madobe's troops to oust al-Qaeda-linked Shebab fighters from Kismayo, before joining the 17,700-strong AU force.

The AU force is mandated - and funded by the UN and European Union - to support central government.

..........

It would have been a major outcry if this happened in the Western world, but hey it is Somalia, savages killing each other. While their rituals of fasting Ramadan and prayers continues.

These are two sub-clans from the same clan fighting over who should rule the town, does that indicate that they do share a similar religion? The tribal savages are once again at each other's throats. They expect the world to treat them like a normal civilised people.
