Bad commercial practice to prevent close neighbour from extending it's boundaries. There is no logic in the business prospective from earning foreign exchange unless is jealousy......!

As a Sinaporean I have no problem with that. I wish all countries will ban sand export to Singapore. How does exporting sand to Singapore benefit you? It only damages the environment.

Malaysia is not the only country banning sand to Singapore. Other countries have banned it too. The leaders of Singapore are greedy. They want to expand this little red dot to build more factories and take away foreign investments from the region.

Make sure your government continues to ban sand export to Singapore.

Singapore NEWater: From Sewage to Safe
January 15, 2009 · 1 Comment
Singapore has taken recycling to a whole new level, in the process, securing safe, drinking water for its citizens for centuries to come.

The world can learn a thing or two on water recycling from Singapore. Faced with diminishing freshwater sources, its national water agency, the Public Utilities Board (PUB), has tapped an unlikely resource-used, dirty, down-the-toilet-bowl, sewage water.

Using a combination of microfiltration, reverse osmosis technology and ultraviolet disinfection, Singapore’s scientists have perfected the process of transforming sewage water into new, clean, safe drinking water. And since every corner of this bustling city is connected to a single sewerage system, Singapore will never run out of sewage water as long as its residents keep flushing.

Aptly branded NEWater, this reclaimed or recycled water is one of Singapore’s “four national taps” or freshwater sources providing 7% of the country’s water demands.

Siapa minum air kencing?

Singapore is made up of foreigners. More than 50 per cent of those living in Singapore are foreigners. Indians, Chinese, Filipons, Malaysians, Burmese, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesias.

These foreigners are the ones drinking 'air kencing'.

Anyway, just don't sell sand to Singapore. It destroys your environment but you gain nothing in return.

For every one square kilometre that Singapore reclaims from the sea, it can bring in 20,000 China nationals to settle here.

If they brought in 5 or 6 million China nationals, they will slowly but surely find their way to Indonesia and Malaysia.

Stop selling sand to Singapore. Impose a world wide ban.

Perseverance and by an act of survival forced by Malaysia to increase the Price of raw water enabled those Scientists to invent NewWater to the credit of Singapore. With this technology, which is 'Blessings in disguise' bring fortunes to this little red dot.
The Menteri Besar of Johore then reminded Johoreans to remember to bring Malaysian's own water when traveling to Singapore.
Now we are laughing to the banks and having the last laugh. With regards to the ban on import of sand, we wish we could also find alternatives in the near future.
Always remember,'Those who laugh last, laugh longest!' Now the world will realize that those who drinks NewWater, find themselves to be smarter and wiser than those who do not...!! hehehehehe...!!!!!

Mereka Buta Mata dan Hati, no wonder you are blind to realist that there is money to be made by recycling urine? Why laugh, when others got no complains?

Most of the vegetables you buy are also fertilized with chicken dung, do you mean to say that you got chicken head or brains by eating the vegetables?

For the record, those people who suffers fron Rheumatisms also drink urine straight from the urine. Don't believe? Check History, India's Ex-Premier Indra Ghandi also drank her own urine when she was alive .

So, I conclude that one man's folly the other man's gain. Your country might be blessed with abandon of water, but you might not even know that when Indonesia way hit by tsunami, it was Singapore who came to the rescue and so was the drought that hit India. With technology, it becomes handy when there is no other means of getting clean purified water. So don't laugh, my worthy opponent, when tragedy strikes, then you or even Johoreans would realize how precious NewWater is.
