If the Japs would have kept up the pressure on eastern Russia, and if Germany could have persuaded the Finns to invest Lenningrad by themselves,it would have freed up German armies for Moscow and Stalingrad.

Everyone knows how the Soviet influence in eastern europe turned out. What if Germany HAD triumphed over the USSR to obtain it's "livingspace"?

Impossible, for the Germans to maintain control over Russia would have been a logistics nightmare. Even had they won they would have fragmented within the span of a decade, or pulled back to non Soviet Europe..

There was a strateigic territorial goal to Barrbarosa-most of Russia would still beRussia but from the Urals and everything west would fall to Germany.

There is something somewhere, a good article about how the Russians moved some of their industries to the east with the German onslaught.

The Roman Empire was the best of the west...But the wonderful, magical, rich and powerful Empire of Stephan Dushan was an amazing feat and if not for disunity and greed on the part of some nobles- should have been the "cherry" of european kingdoms and proped up by surrounding friendly nations glad to trade and to traverse this glorious and prosperous land.By it's might in and around it a Defender of Christian Europe by the inheritors of The Eastern Roman Empire...

yeah they did. That along with Archangel and Iran shipments from the west helped to retool the Soviet war effort. They had the better Tank the T34 and after the new "reassembled" factories moved into full swing away from German bombing range how could the dwindling Axis resources keep pace as America and Britain took a heavy toll on their production by destroying all that they could of German factories and eliminating the Luftwaffe.

What if Germany had remained on the defensive in the west after Poland and let the French and English attack them in 1940 only to give the allies a major defeat and make them sue for peace. Then as the USSR became itchy and went to war with Finland after annexing the Baltic states and pressuring Romania in Moldova,Germany being freshly victorious in the west might be in the unique position to be nominated a leading nation in a "NATO like" stance against the Soviet Union and have the worlds approval for a massive strike at Russia with the backing of the west.Hitler gets his living space and is less a figure of evil than Stalin in fact he becomes the greatest German leader ever given Germany and the west are victorious over communism.

in WW1 Serb losses were 1.500.000 not 725.000 but Serbs screwed huns in WW1 and WW2 also

In WW2 Russian losses were bigger by number and % but still Russians screwed huns for next 50 years
