I did say once that whatever was left of those early West Balkan tribes we now call ‘Illyrians’ was mostly amalgamated amongst the Dinaric Slavs. Perhaps the Croats have the greatest concentration, but it is foolish to jump to any conclusions considering sample sizes for both Serbs and Croats in that study accounted to 250 to 500 each.
Do Croats have more in common with these ancient ‘Illyrians’, perhaps, but study samples too small to make any concrete judgements.
