You sound jealous Sydney poster. Would like to get one of Tito's pictures.

I dont think the Serb Social clubs here in Australia have any of Tito & saddly the Croatian social clubs here in Australia could only afford a few cents to purchase pictures of Nazi/Fascist Puppet Dictator Dr.Ante Ugly Pavelic to hang in their club rooms

The name Dalmatin is reserved for Croats only. You are a Yugoslav.

Some Croatian social clubs in Sydney are worth millions and as such are too nice to have a smelly Yugoslav like you in them.

You havent got a clue. Maybe there was poverty in Yug. 5- maybe 10 years after WW2 but that is expected you budala as that was the case in all of Europe post WW2. Those who couldnt hack it or had something to hide picked up & left those countries as expected

Yugoslavia 's ecconomy sky rocketed in the 1960's & 1970's you picka as the whole wide world knows & many of Yugoslavia's working class incl. Croats benefited, far more then they do today !!!!!

As you said top brass like Josip Broz Tito & co lived the high life. Well deserved in my opinion after the lousy life he lived growing up & the hell he went through in Two World Wars

Cut Tito some slack you cnt. You havent got a clue, just some sob story's fed to you by youre resentful jealous lieing folks & friends. Ive heard it all before as well, i wasnt born yesterday you ignorant arrogant smotan

Reading some of the above posts I would say this is the second or third time I have across a situation in which one Croatian refers to another as a Yugoslav for not agreeing with their point of view.

Under Tito Yugoslavia was by far the richest and most developed country in eastern Europe, It had a booming tourist industry.
Tito gave Yugoslavs more freedom and rights than any other communist nation in the world, Because of Tito all ethnic hatreds disappeared when he died it all fell apart.
Overall Tito was a good man And leader so haters fck off

I understand that the Croats are in two different camps over their view of Tito. I am surprised that anyone would favour Tito.

Sure, Yugoslavia had some economic successes in the 60ís and 70ís, early 80ís, but the country was heavily funded by the monetary union, also on the backs of the rural farming community that had been collectivised close to the point of starvation in the aftermath of the second world war.

In an ideal world it would have been better for all concerned if Serbia had retained the King following the second world war and developed its own constitutional democracy, and Croatia left to go its own way with BIH partitioned between the two.

Yes it would of been ideal if Croatia & Serbia went their seperate ways post WW2 but certain events took their course . the average people in Tito's Yugoslavia (Serbs, Montenegrins, Croats, Slovenes, Macedonians, Bosnians, Albanians , Hungarians, Turks & Roma) made the best of things as did other Eastern & Western Europeans post WW2, they had no other choice except maybe emigrate - who could blame them.

Things would of been tough post WW2 as you Strahd have previously explained in regards to youre family's situation in Serbia post WW2

It was actually one of the richest and most powerful counties in Europe at the time.

Because Tito had an argument with Stalin an the rest of the European communist block.

Yugoslavia was the only other communist state in Europe that was not in the Warsaw pact. The US and western Europe invested heavily in Yugoslavia from 1960s till the late 1980s to keep Tito on their side. So they could use Yugoslavia as a buffer state between them and the USSR and Warsaw pact.

I don't want to cause arguments on here between us Croats I understand some of us like Tito and some hate Tito and some don't have an opinion. And I get that,I'm just giving some facts here that's all brate
