At Kosovo in 1389 the SERBS and their allies and the TURKS and their allies (SERBS and BULGARS) beat each other into the ground. It was a coalition on both sides. Both leaders were killed( under different circumstances.) Who really emerged with a victory? Does anyone really beleive that it was a draw?

It was a pirrhic Ottoman victory.
This was a good effort, but let us not forget that during Nikopolis Crusade(1396), when all Christianity was fighting to stop ottomans, Serbian vassals chose to fight against Christians. Same happened during the siege of Constantinople in 1453.

Serbs never fought the Turks, 1389 was a surrender.
Bulgars, Albanians, Hungarians, Romanians had decades of fights against the Turks

1386-1389 was the only war with them, after that Serbs became vassals and always supported ottomans, French writer about Crusades mentions that many times.

this is true...another fact;after ottomans invaded the balkans, albanian hero george kasstioti wanted to go and help hungarians fight ottomans but serbs didn't allow him to use serbian territory...which proves that serbs cared a lot about their allies, ottomans

So when Stephan Dushan died, All the nobles that supported him, instead of actually uniting under his son and successor Uros V, Became independant and just when they could have stood against the growing power of the Osmanli Turks, they gave in one by one after the disaster at Maritza. This is what decided where the SERBS would stand in relation to the Turkish invasion.

Serbia had just been restored in 1444by the Turks giving back two dozen fortresses and Brankovic knew that if he dared to oppose the Turks by siding with the Hungarians, which country do you think would have been next on the chopping block-SERBIA.

Come on people, after Kosovo battle all resistance stopped, here are people who truly resisted Ottomans:

Hungarians, Austrians, Germans and Poles with other volunteers fought until the last man and saved Europe.

Great Nikopolis Crusade, 1396. Whole Europe is united to stop ottoman advance, Serbian King joined ottoman army:
http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/battles_...
"The Hungarian royal army, meanwhile, was moving towards the battle. Sigismund's force was engaged with the Ottoman cavalry, when it was ambushed by the Serbian allies of Sultan Bajazet, led by Stephen Lazarevitch, who had retained his lands at the price of becoming an Ottoman vassal."
If not a Serbian ambosh Hungarians would join main body and Crusde would be a success, Stephan Lazarevic was a traitor of Christianity and shame on him and his man.

Historial fact, you will find it everywhere, do not try to escape from reality, I am not saying that every Serbian king was allie to turks, but Lazarevic definetly was a traitor. Have those people no shame who are painting him like a saint?

Right after the Koso vo battle in 1389 when Serbia was at its weakest, in November the Hungarians attacked SERBIA from the north. And Queen Milica of SERBIA caught between two powerful nations looking to dominate SERBIA and she asked for protection. She asked the Turks for help.

During Nikopolis Crusade Humagarians and all Christians promised that it was only anti-ottoman Crusade, this was a chance for Serbia to liberate from Ottoman vasslage, but traitor Lazarevic prefered ottoman coins over Christianity.
