Sorry, I don't read all the threads these days, you lost me on 'summer thread'.

Pantheon simply relates to a family or whole body of divinities worshipped by a people, a family of gods so to speak.

God's first Commandment:

" I am Lord you God, don't have any other Gods except me"

Leave those satanic pagan Gods, they are only mythology, and powerless, they can't do s...t. They only exist to drive people away from one true Lord

I hear you bro, and believe it or not I sympathise with you, but please don't get me wrong here.

In my case I was only going to discuss the historical side of these fascinating mythological tales. Contained in these accounts are a people's history, and in some cases the mythological cycles disguise actual historical events.

For instance the Nordic gods had been divided into the warlike Aesir and the more peaceful Vanir. Intermarriage took place between the two rival groups to form one family. Now some historians have hypothesised that this represented a warlike nomad warrior type of people in early times that conquered Scandinavia and merged with older settled and less warlike peoples.

European mythology has always been divided between the warlike sky gods verse a Celtic nature goddess worshipping type.

This probably explains some of the European ideological frustrations between liberalist hippies on the one hand and more warlike fascists on the other and everything else in between. There is a cultural context to some of these early beliefs.

I did not start the thread, and had asked why the Scandinavian inquired about these mythological gods. Perhaps the spelling is Norwegian. For instance, Odin was knows as Wotan in Britain, and Wodan or Woden in other parts of Northern Europe

theres also Thors brothers, Ulfric and Baldur. Then you have Freyja and other female warriors. I think these legends are men an women reborn in diff eras. These Gods are human, in some way shape or form.in Greek myth you had the Gods(which mirror Nordic Gods), and then above them you have Titans, their parents that they war against. Possibly the God of the Bible is a Titan. Saturn, possibly

Look at the croat bisexual mocking God and his religion, and how Christianity has pagan roots? If you read something about greek or roman or hindu mythology you'd find out it has different ways and stories than Judaism and Christianity. So how can they be absorbed? And miracles, on the contrary, it's pagan gods who can't do great miracles, only one true God can. pagan gods can only do some small, weak things completely powerless to those of Almighty God

To sam i ja gledao u dok.

Sasvim razliciti
