Pegasus Airlines inaugurated services on the 850-kilometre route from its Istanbul Sabiha GA kA en hub, to Belgrade in Serbia on 1 February.

There has NEVER EVER existed a "Belgrade pashaluk".

First of all, the word is spelled pasalik, NOT pashaluk.

Secondly there NEVER was a pasalik centred in Belgrade.

There was a Smederevo (Semendria) Sanjak, in which Belgrade was located, covering about 32% of Serbian territory. The sanjak was named after the then-capital of Stefan Lazarevic's Despotate, Smederevo.

Sanjaks and pasaliks were alternative territorial organisations, with similar, but different competences. There was Buda pasalik (with a seat in today Budapest) that covered a great part of Western Serbia, and Rumeli pasalik that covered Eastern and parts of Southern Serbia

Belgrade was not a capital of Serbia ever before the time Prince Milos moved the capital there from Kragujevac.
