New York-based Palgrave Macmillan is to publish a book on July 7 portraying Serb medieval hero Miloš Obilić as an "Albanian knight", daily Politika writes.

According to the publishing company, the book by Ana De Lillio, called “Battle for Kosovo, 1389: An Albanian Epic”, offers a “fantastic story of Murat’s attack on Kosovo and the murder of Murat by Albanian knight Millosh Kopiliq.”

In a presentation of the book on the internet, the publisher explains "that Millosh Kopiliq is more often presented from the Serbian perspective, which extols particularly the valor of the Serb knight Miloš Obilić" but that their book offers a “better nuanced story for understanding this strong myth of nationalism and belonging”.

In the introduction, the publisher states that "the Battle of Kosovo has great symbolism for the formation of the modern Balkan states, especially the nationalist spheres of the South Slavs and Serbs".

According to the author’s biography, De Lillio is a guest professor on a Masters program of international cooperation at New School University in New York, and works at the Kosovo Institute for Journalism and Communication in Priština.

The publishing house, which is an English-American company founded in 1843, publishes books mainly in the field of social sciences.

If you had Hero's back then, you would have Hero's today and be living in a modern advanced nation.
Instead you live in a pigstye.
If you had a time machine and go back 300 years you would not see any difference from your past and your present.

Hero's DO NOT come from a people like that.

Say for a minute Milos Obilic was Albanian (which he was not) That would mean that all the Albanians on here claiming he is now there hero... is a hero theirs they betrayed. Milos Obilic fought to keep the Turks out and to maintain his Christian Orthodox faith. So the VAST majority of Albnaians betrayed their hero Skanderberg (who was part Serb) and for arguments sake Milos Obilic by aiding the Turks to take over and by cowardly converting to Islam. What are you going to do for your new hero George Bush... join Al Qaeda?

What do you expect? That is the problem with all inferior nations - they are in deficite with heroes, with scientists, geniuses... so they must find some dirty way to import them somehow. "Dirty" as i put is the way to falsify the true legacy of history.

There is just one question you all should ask:

How come that Miloš Obilić was more than half millennium legitimate Serbian historical knight and hero, and now, someone claim different... it smells fishy to me... because of the Kosovo crisis, ya know?! Albanians bought Kosovo from America, and now they want import history from the Serbian tradition!

role in Battle of Kosovo (in Battle of Kosovo (1389, Balkans);
At first, victory appeared to be on the side of the Serbs when the sultan was killed by a Serbian noble, Milosh Obilic (or Kobilic), who made his way into the Turkish camp on the pretext of being a deserter and forced his way into the sultan’s tent and stabbed him with a poisoned dagger.
Miloš Obilić.(2009). In Encyclopædia Britannica. Retrieved November 04, 2009, from Encyclopædia Britannica Online: http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/423...
Miloš Obilić (Serbian Cyrillic: Ми&#10 83;ош Об&#10 80;ли& #1115;)(died 1389) was a 14th-century Serbian knight in the service of Prince Lazar, ruler of Moravian Serbia. Little is known of the historical persona, but he features prominently in accounts of the Serbian defeat at the Battle of Kosovo as the legendary assassin of the Ottoman sultan Murad I. Miloš became a major figure in Serbian epic poetry, in which he is elevated to the level of the most noble national hero of medieval Serbian folklore. He remains the symbol of personal courage and ultimate sacrifice in the service to the country today. In the 19th century, Miloš also came to be venerated as a saint in the Serbian Church.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sacred Order of the Dragon of Saint George, was created by Milos Obilic, the first Serbian to be dubbed a knight in the feudal tradition. Obilic created his order with twelve other knights and the society had a single purpose at its center: The assassination of the Ottoman Sultan, Murad I. Milos Obilic achieved the aim of his organization during the disastrous battle of Kosovo Polje (June 15th, 1389), when he was able to force himself into Murad’s tent and stab the Sultan to death. All the original member of the Dragon Order fell on the field of Kosovo except for one, who survived to become the military tutor of the Serbian Prince, Stefan Lazarevic.
The Order of the Dragon (Also called the Ordo Draconis, Drachenordern and Societas Draconistarum) was consecrated and organized as a crusading order of select nobility under the protection of the Holy Roman Emperor, Sigismund of Luxembourg, in 1408. Its precepts and organization were based on those of the French order of knighthood, the Order of Saint George of Burgundy, but the inspiration for the body came from the tribulations of the Balkan peoples and a secret society that had been founded in Serbia in the late fourteenth century.
Milos Obilic (Kobilic) was Albanian knight!?
Yes, sure and George Washington, Richard I Lionheart, Napoleon Bonaparte and all Russian dynasty of Romanov were all Albanian's...:)))

I wonder why everybody is so shocked that the truth is coming out and heroes are taking their deserved place in the hearts and minds of people for whom they fought. It is natural that nations claim for the deeds of every heroe and in this case you can't accept because you are afraid that the truth of serbian cetniks helping and fighting among the Turkish hordes is coming out.Since your people came in our lands in balkans all you do is fabricate the history to suit yourselves, you came around 600AD from Iran and Caucas(Wilkes)so when you say that Albanians got no right or history al you do is lie.
