Australian Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare’s decision to give the final “go-ahead” for the extradition of Dragan Vasiljkovic (Captain Dragan, a.k.a. Daniel Snedden) could not have come at a better time. It almost coincided with ICTY’s Appeal Chamber’s acquittal of Croatian Generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac.

unfortunately..

No Australian government has ever successfully extradited an accused war criminal.

Captain Dragan wants a fair trial, the problem is that fair to him may easily mean that his role in Serb aggression against Croatia be erased without a trial.

It fits into the same frame of mind that leads Serbia in denial.

Such denial has a number of functions

one of these fits into the Serb grip on Serbian Republic entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was established through genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Operation Storm delivered the Croatian Krajina territory from a similar final destination.

Parastam, don't get me wrong, could not care less for the Titoist. Cause of Tito my parents starved after the second world war due to that collectivisation nonsense.

I work for a gov public sector and you would not believe how much is being blown on emergency housing, commission housing, relief payments,'one off subsidies', family payments, parental payments, dole, disability, carers, abstudy etc etc etc.

We laugh about this at work. If anything this is the biggest socialist country out, and the rest of us do the job of three people to pay for the crap.

FCKIN TRUTH.

I am not a communist , neither was Jozo. you labeling me as a communist is a typical response from a young diaspora type who is ignorant of common knowledge & sympathises with ustasa type mentality.

the entire world knew that jozo's yugoslavia was the most progressive & democratic nation in the so-called communist world

All ordinary people of all the ethnicities in Jozo's yugoslavia enjoyed more freedoms & privledges than any other so-called communist country in the world at the time. even people in so-called democratic countries at the time like america for example were envious of Jozo's socialist styled open market system & the social security services that he provided for all his people .

Even today most croats in the homeland & other s across the entire ex-yugoslavia who remember Tito's days are pineing for the time when people didnt have to struggle to make ends meat or struggle to pay for all the expences that has to do with education, housing, medical, pensions etc., etc.

if jozo's liberal socialism wasnt democratic enough than what was ?????

at the end of the day the ordinary people were happy knowing they lived a simple life & a rewarding life in Jozo's yugoslavia where they knew they could count on the government if things got tough

there isnt much in policies that seperate the liberals from labour

only the greens stand out & only the greens have the policies that are humane & conscienceous for people's better interests both buisness wise, ecconomics wise & social security wise.

At present workers rights in this country is borderline & not getting any better, thats western style democracy for you. the fat cats are makeing the money & reaping in the profits & awards, while the ordinary worker & small private business owners are suffering with no government incentives or support unlike it was in Tito's Yugoslavia 1960's-1990

only small problem was that it was unsustainable, it was collapsing at the end anyway because of economic mismanagement.
eg people there also remember political factories set up even though they were unprofitable

Sure, small business and lower income workers are being screwed, but middle income workers are paying more than their fare share of tax.

The Greens, you have to be joking on that score. The Greens mean more boat people and refugees with the associated processing problems, waste of tax payers money, in fact taxes raised to keep paying a large sub class of bludgers who have nothing better to do than produce neglected children and run amok, whilst the rest are paying their way.

Trust me when I tell you more cut backs are slowly being planned. This January they moved a lot of those that took advantage of parenting payments on to a lower Newstart payments. About time cause honest working families with children did not get anything much above the normal family allowance, even though they paid the taxes.

The welfare economy was a large mistake started by the Labour Whitlam government. A stop gap measure that turned into a way of life. The bleeding heart liberalists want to continue this, but the nation simply cant afford it in the long run.

Soon, time for the rest to get of their backsides and contribute. I know many tradies, small business owners and they all agree with me on that score. The only ones who don't are the bludgers getting money for nothing.

The Greens are just a party for the idealist students and latter sipping socialists with too much time on their hands taking part in CBD demo's about 'persecuted Tibetans' or wanting to support some 'refugee', former warlord who conveniently ditched his identification papers, but can afford the ten grand to get someone to make sure he is on that 'refugee boat' docking somewhere up north.

Dear Strahd

Our dear Tito was also a big hero in Serbia and the Serbs proudly held the big red star as their national emblem.

Our dear Tito would be sad to see us divided now.

My dear Yugoslavia what happen to you

Can't be, if Tito was such a big hero in Serbia they'd name their most popular sporting clubs after him, say for example Red Star and Partisans.

I googled Tito's mausoleum and it is so preeeeety, all nicely maintained, gardens beautifully kept...jebo mu pas mater

So what would happen if you spoke out against tito or jugoslavia?

Yes it sounded like a very prosperous puppet country. What countries within jugoslavia were financially supporting the others?
How was the new Belgrade financed and built up from ruins? Who paid for it?
Listen neanthrapol man, every nation has a right to freedom, if they dont want to be in something then they should not have to.

Please tell me this my expert friend, then why did jugoslavia fall apart if it was that fantastic? Surely a hand full of people could not have single handedly ddestroyed jugoslavia, please I need an answer on this if it was so prosperous and great then why the destruction? Im waiting for your educated response

I asked him have you heard of Croatia? His answer: bloody oath I have isnt that the place where every c-nt goes for a holiday these days

Problems of shortages stems from the old jugo mentality, no need to work it will all be given to us.

Democratic societies you need to get your lazy arse out of bed and work hard for a living.

Look at Australia, built through sweat and tears.

I dont know who these most Croats you are talking about, your talking about born again Croats who 20 years ago would get affended if you said they were Croatian.

I only know and hang out with Croats whom I have known for 40 + years.

These are people that are loyal and stand by their country not sell it off to Belgrade and the serbs.

These were Croats who had the confidence to stand on their own democtratic feet and show their teeth to the world.

These were Croats who did not need the breast of other neighbouring nations buut the balls to stand up and fight for their country.

These were Croats that made the hairs on their arm stand up when they see a Croatian Flag waving high at a major sproting event

These were Croats that stood proud when the Croatian national anthem played at a major sporting event.

This is called loyalty and belief, it's a gene that most of us have, I said most this does not refer to you jugoslavs.

My genes were built up of strong hatred and killer behavious towards jugoslavs, not serbs but jugoslavs.

I have respect for loyalist serbs but I have no respct for jugoslavs

Tito can rot for all I care. He starved good honest country folk after the war. Should monuments of Tito be left. Perhaps some for historical purposes only.

For instance, I would not want to be ruled by the Roman Empire, but I think Roman ruins should be persevered. I hope you understand what I am saying.

There is another monument to a Croat Partisan called Filipovic and I would definitely leave that standing as it has more of an international and widespread message than that Tito fraudster.
