you're deluded.
yes, he was BORN in croatia, but so was i, and that doesn't make me croatian. When someone asks me what i am, i NEVER say croatian; i'm serbian through and through.
Nikola Tesla also never once said he was croatian, but serbian. his father was a Serbian Orthodox clergyman and thats what he was going to become until he became an inventor.
And where did you get the albanian part?!? haha. right, when in doubt, just make stuff up: is that your moto?

Tesla was born to Serbian parents in the village of Smiljan near Gospić, in the Lika region in Krajina, Croatia. According to legend, he was born precisely at midnight during an electrical storm.
His baptism certificate reports that he was born on June 28 (N.S. July 10), 1856, and christened by the Serbian Orthodox priest Toma Oklobdžija. His father was Rev. Milutin Tesla, a priest in the Serbian Orthodox Church Metropolitanate of Sremski Karlovci.
His mother was Đuka Mandić, herself a daughter of a Serbian Orthodox Church priest. She came from a family domiciled in Lika and Banija, but with deeper origins to Kosovo.
Tesla's family asserted its last name as such in Lika. His paternal origin is thought to be of the Draganić family from the Tara valley area below the geographical entity known as Old Vlach, from one of the local Serb clans.

Well I hate to tell you but your homeland is Croatia. You are a Serbian-Croatian. Just like I was born in America and have Croat roots. That makes me a Croatian-American. We can deny all we want but your homeland is Croatia. And for the record Tesla was equally proud of being from Croatia. There have been many articles. Yes he was a Serb and always admitted that. There were many Serbs who saw through Milosevic's propaganda and fought on the side of Croatia and they were proud Serbs and Croats. Here is one articles about how Tesla felt about Croatia.

In America maybe but in the Balkans Serbs are just Serbs, here is a little local wisdom for you but titles like “Serbian-Croatian, Serbian-Kosovar or Bosnian Serb” mean nothing us.

At the time when Tesla was born, it was not Croatia. It was the Serbian Frontier of The Austro-Hungarian Empire, which thanks to the Austro-Hungarian opression, later started WW1 (which i'm sure you know)...but we'll give that to you. As for your little BBC source, we all know the propaganda BBC and it's American counter part CNN have spilt. I've actually read a whole book on Tesla written by an American author, entitled: Tesla: Man Out of Time. In the book Margaret Cheney (the author), writes a direct quote from Tesla's biography which goes: I am proud of my Serb heritage and my Croatian homeland. NO where is there the word equally. BBC has once again taken sentences out of context in the name of propaganda. So before you come here acting like you know something, do some research. read some books, instead of fucking BBC articles.

You credit one source and discredit others?? Do some f*cking homework. 1st off there was no serbian frontier of austria-hungary. It was the military frontier. 2nd Tesla did say he was EQUALLY proud of his serb origin and his Croat fatherland. Here is the direct quote from the Tesla Memorial society in New York. "I am equally proud of my serbian origin and my Croatian fatherland." As he was famously quoted.

http://www.teslasociety.com/teslavillage.htm

The fact remains that he acknowledged his Croatian fatherland and that bothers you. Too f*cking bad dude. He was a good Serb and a good Croat. Next time do your homework before you open up your big mouth instead of spreading lies. I hope you are not that picka who used to go by the name of SERBIA from Toronto. You sound a little like that idiot. If so, I will be at the Windsor casino this saturday around 2pm. I left a special topic for you on the Croat forum. Hope to see you saturday if this is you. Since you talked a lot of sh*t. If this is not you disregard.

No my friend it doesn't bother me that he acknowledged his Croatian fatherland. It does bother me however that the same fucking Ustase that burned his house in 1941,killed most of his family members from his mom's side and killed 530 Serbs of Smiljan acknowledge Tesla as "one of their own." The same Ustase that vandalized, than burned his house again in 1993, for the simple fact that he was a Serb. I saw one of your posts on the Croatian forum, where you called a Serb a "Milan Nedic loving, nazi." You are either a fucking retard or just an ignorant little bitch that is blinded by hatred, and fascism. Please, don't talk to me anymore, cuz you're giving Ustase a bad name (i know it's tough but you cut the cake). Nikola Tesla is 100% Serbian and 0% Croatian, and there is nothing you can do about it!!!
