pluk-juk, that would be from the bottom up...Saudi Arabia would be in:

TOP TEN ILLITERATE COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD

Thus, Saudi Arabia would rank in the above top ten for the above...least educated in the world.

thats rubbish , Saudi Arabia spends on education twice what it spends on defense.

all schools are free, all universities aren't just free but also give small salaries for students. because its one of the civil rights in Saudi Arabia to have access to all levels of education.

according to BBC , Saudi students outscored many other students from many of your claimed countries.

In Saudi Arabia, oil accounts for more than 90 percent of exports and nearly 75 percent of government revenues, facilitating the creation of a welfare state.

Your schools and universities are free because of the revenue of OIL into your country.

PROBLEM: The study of Islam remains at the core of the Saudi educational system. In religious education classes, children are taught to deprecate other religions, in addition to other branches of Islam. The Saudi religious studies curriculum is taught outside the Kingdom in madrasah throughout the world.

Literacy = Reading and Writing Skills

Literacy Rate in Saudi Arabia = 82.9%

Literacy Rate in Canada = 99.0%
Literacy Rate in Australia = 99.0%
Literacy Rate in United Kingdom = 99.0%
Literacy Rate in United States = 99.0%

Oil revenues into your government and Kingdom make the schools and universities free; thus, making it a WELFARE STATE.

Who cares what the BBC reports...the BBC is the mouthpiece for the City of London where the British Crown resides. The Queen and British Government are subject to the British Crown. The power behind Great Britain is the British Crown in the City of London.

You might be a CROWN PUPPET working for the City of London without even knowing it.

The UN is doing nothing because SA is protected by different other countries, which need things like oil.

To come back to education and health.

Having free education and healthcare is not enough to compensate the terrible consequences of the oppressing policy in SA (like no freedom of speech, association or faith,or just things like to wear what you like, discrimination of women; discrimination of different minoritiesn, a criminal justice system, the "vice"-cops,...)
--> you see more then enough to do in SA, in order to be part of civilised world.

Hoa ...... u got that right ... 100 % excelente ,,, just because of oil .... every people need that shit , cause there wont be any country exist now days without oil , Yes ... Nowdays because of oil making the Arab Country become rich , even very rich, while the population were so small compare in asia .. but one thing for sure , most arabs were to spoil due to these circumstances. They should be aware after they dont have any oil no more , whats they gonna do ??? but i dont understand, why u arabs live as if u were living in Moses Era , while we have already reached 2 Millenium .. isnt that weird .,okay talking about tradition and preserve the heritage , but man,we are not living in the those stone age no more.??? I am a 27 year old American with an MBA, attended Catholic Schools and Public Shool systems Let me say this there is no way in hell the US ranks up there. We have by far the most worthless youth when it comes to schooling and academics. That is why Oprah is spending her money building schools in Africa. Children here take there free education for granted, they are spoiled. Americans bitch about illegals coming here and taking all the "Labor" jobs. Well wait and see when all the Asian and Indian People arrive here "legally" and take all the "Educated Jobs." We are screwing ourselves out of our own workforce. My advice to any parents out there, take your kids I-pod, X-Box, Playstation, and Plasma TV with MTV on there 24/7 and smash them all into a 1000 pieces. By them a book and get them a tutor. Schooling needs to be made a priority.

Saudi Arabia HAS no intelligence. They gift-wrapped their individuality and their ability to think long ago, and left it as a package at the gates of Hell.

Ok, so I'm going to agree with this list. I am American, and this list is accurate. In reference to the list that was posted listing the Asian countries as in the top, you need to stop. That may be correct for standardized testing of math, reading, and science. But as far as Doctorates, Law Degrees, and being an OVERALL educated society, this list is on point. Education ALL THE WAY up to your doctorate can be free or funded...no matter who u are. You average joe can come from nothing and get a bachelors in like 3 years...stop kidding yourselves...the U.S. is smart.
