“For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.”

“Love does not cost anything. Kind words and deeds do not cost anything. The real beauty of the world is equal for everyone to see. It was given by God equally to all, without restrictions.

Everyone, was given a beautiful vehicle in which to express love to others. Feelings are free to express and give to ourselves and each other through our willingness to give and care.

What is complicated about this... Why have we made others feel they have to climb mountains and swim oceans in order to make a difference.

All we need to understand my friends, is that human life was given equally to us all, not partially but in totality.

The sun was given to all. It does not shine on the few. So, just has nature is indifferent to our station or situation, we need to know that we are all equal. We need to focus on the things that are constant and not place our values on things that can be blown away with the next, great, wind.

Value life in what ever house it dwells. For when it comes time that we are all stripped to bare bones before the divine and facing eternity, we will understand that the only law we were meant to follow, was to love ourselves and each other. Nothing more...nothing less.”

“The fact is, there is no foundation, no secure ground, upon which people may stand today if it isn’t the family. If you don’t have the support and love and caring and concern that you get from a family, you don’t have much at all. Love is so supremely important. As our great poet Auden said,‘Love each other or perish’.”

“Look in the mirror. What you see there is what you get from others. When you smile, smile comes back to you. When you get angry, anger comes back to you. When you love, love comes back to you, when you hate, hatred comes back to you.
That's very simple. You can make your life however you like by how you behave.”

The Balance of Love - Yin and Yang

You swim around each other constantly, as if dancing in a boxing ring. You keep each other in check, aligned for a purpose.

You are the balance between the light and the dark, the hot and the cold, the strong and the weak, the good and the evil, the hard and the soft, the love and the hate, the friend and the enemy.

When the cycle is disrupted and one side has too much, you cry out for help, telling me to fix it, crying out for me to fix the imbalance, to realign. I do what I can and look for your counterpart; i look for your opposite. Despite your opposing goals and purpose, you share the need for each other to keep the balance, the equilibrium between one another, so that life may stay balanced. Though it may be your enemy, it is vital to your survival, to my survival, and to that of everything that you are kept together.

When at a balance, the arguments held between those I love and myself, between those who dislike and myself, and between those who I do not know too well and myself, all are necessary to both of our lives to keep us going. When life weighs too heavily on the Yin or too heavily on the Yang of life, we become out of balance, and in need of a realignment. You are there to keep us in check, to keep us sane.

The occasional argument, no matter how big or small, is just as important for our health and survival as the new friend from last week, or new found love for a hobby or person. The balance is key to life.

Both of you, Yin and Yang, keep me in check. I have had my major downs and my major ups, my balance and my imbalance. All are a part of who I am to keep me in check.

You are the balance within me of science and religion, creativity and logic, calculations and guesses, love and hate, compassion and rage, intimacy and toughness, strength and weakness. You are what makes me who I am; You are me.

I hate myself for this
I hate this person I've become
I hate who I am and who I thought I would never be
I hate my father for making me this way
I hate the selfishness I have now become
I hate the endless pain I put people through
I hate the way I hide myself in this pain
I hate the crazy world Im living in called my life
I hate when my friends suffer because of my problems
I hate the fact that everything I've worked
so hard not to be is what defines me
I hate that people cant see who I really am
I hate that my heart is broken with no one to put it back together

Stay out of my life

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

Respect Sows Peace

Do not restrict respect
to age because someone is old
show real respect to all

but respect most
heart motivation
of people worthy
of that respect.

Respect is given
respect is earned
respect enriches
respect ennobles

graces civilization
elevates humanity
sows seeds of peace.

Don't be so arrogant to think that you can harass people and get away with it. No one is above the law, not even a Lawyer or a Member of Congress.

Many catfish are serial offenders and can be traced.

“I have a deep-down belief that there are folks in the world who are good through and through, and others who came in mean and will go out mean. It's like coffee. Once it's roasted, it all looks brown. Until you pour hot water on it and see what comes out. Folks get into hot water, you see what comes out.”

"Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. Funny, it seems to by keeping it's dreams; it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared.”
