I like to know what to Prince Ma'atu's Samoan wife and children?(Prince Ma'atu was an older brother to King Tupou V1 of Tonga) I met his son, I believed his name is Prince Tungi. What position does he (Prince Tungi) has in King Tupou V1 new administration.

That is not a nice thing to say about another person. Why not say something constructive instead.

Ma'atu by tradition was supposed to be the King of Tonga, but since he died... It's his son that should be King...

But because he married a woman outside of the Tongan Nobility 'Hou'eiki' and rank, he was stripped of his royal privileges / heir to the throne, etc... Therefore, lost his chance of being the current king, per Tupou 4...

Even though Aleilua is of supposedly some Samoan royalty, lack of a better word to describe it... it's not good enough.

The simple fact that she is not within Tongan ranks in the Tongan Hierarchy and broke taboo and custom, Maatu and his children cannot be part of the ruler-ship...

Didn't he get stripped of his royal privileges coz he married his first wife who was a Tongan commoner and gained back his privileges when he married the lady from the malietoa family...

To my understanding that Prince Ma'atu first wife was Lady TU'IMALAS only daughter. She was a very beautiful lady just like her mother but sadly she was passed away and they have no children at all. The only children Prince Maatu has is with his second wife Lady Aleilua. by the way the first wife was a Tongan

Prince Ma'atu's line was supposed to be King in Tonga today. But because he was married to that Samoan lady, regardless of her Chiefly Samoan status, was still deemed unroyal to our Fale 'Alo (Royal Household)... hence passing his heir over to the youngest, who is the present king!

See, my Samoan usos, your Samoan blood means nothing to Tu'i Kanokupolu.. LOL

Stop embarrassing yourself Polo. He lost his status because he married a commoner (like you LOL). Someone said before that marrying Alaileula actually helped him to keep at least a Noble status. So you should thank her for that, otherwise he would of been down in the gutter with you ahahaha...

being from a Samoan Chiefly line did not help the situation. If it was of any prominence, they would have given him back his title in line for Tu'i...

Thats the point Polo, Ma'atu could NEVER get his Royal titles back because he married a commoner. Yet his son wit the Samoan woman (Prince Tungi) is a Royal. So how can that be genius?? LOL Victory is sweet.

His son was adopted by the present King. Yet still has not right to the throne, because of his Samoan status. He's half Royal and half Samoan which holds no place in Tongan protocol. just saying, no offense. Malo Ofa atu!

Ma'atu's was adopted by the current king when the son was just a little kid. Ma'atu's son is a grown man w/out a say nor a right to the heir. Just adopted, due to his Samoan status...

"The young prince is the eldest son of Hon ‘Alaileula of Samoa, and the late Hon Ma’atu, brother of King George."

Nothing about being adopted Polo, try again LOL.
