People easpcailly fellow polynesians be sayin' "Hawaiians are asian" or "No such thing as Hawaiians" And it's really stupid. Not all of us are mixed and not all of us have asian blood. It's a stupid steropype and well, is just that.
So why do other polys like to downgrade us with that stupid sterotype ? Is it just to make your race seem superior ? What ya'll think or got to say.
And Poly Pride BTW.

Another dunbass.

1.King kamehameha pre-date Chritopher Colombus by 500 yrs.

2.Christopher Columbus never crossed the Pacific he travelled through the Atlantic.

3.Polynesians Discovered South America 1000 years before Colombus and North America 9000 years before the Vikings.

4.Polynesian presents in the pacific goes as far back as the 2nd millenium BC, pre-dating the arrival of these South East Asians

Now you have learned something my erectile dysfunctioned friend.

I know, I was thinking the same thing when watching it over here.
The problem is hollywood has never portrayed Hawaii as a "Polynesian" peoples. they are either spray tanned White people or Asians.

I think in particular that the Full blooded Hawaiians need to make there presence known in Hawaii. I also was shocked the first time i had seen a full blooded Hawaiian. because he looked exactly like me a Samoan. Its very easy to forget that Hawaiians are polynesian because of Hollywood.

No you misunderstood. What i mean by him looking Samoan is he looked polynesian, like the rest of us do.

The problem iv noticed is polynesians living in western countries or influenced by them. Assume that cause we are from islands far apart that we are different.

the truth is before European arrival, It was and still is almost impossible to tell the difference between Eastern and Western polynesians of 100 percent purity.

Because in the past tautai from different islands always bred with each other.

Just look at photos on the net of the Royal families of Oceania, They all look the same.

And thats what i mean.

Yes what you say is true. I've looked at pics of Samoans, Rarotongans, Tahitians Etc. photograghed in the 1800-1900's. Looks exactly alike. But nowadays even the Pure bloods look different.

The pure bloods ive met. We were all standing in a group and talking about our peoples history. Everyone assumed we were all either Tongan or Samoan cause we looked the same.

These days the large bulk of pure polynesians people know these dayz are Samoan or Tongan. I can usually tell the difference between most polynesians but theres some of us, that look exactly the same.

And when i meet a Hawaiian claiming full blood. I always use the typical/original facial features as the measuring stick.

Exactly. I was debating this Asian claiming hawaiian. And i asked him what was his fathers name, family name ect. He didnt understand the question. But when you ask these types of questions to a pure blood they understand these questions, Cause its asking geneology. Because they geneology of polynesians is found in names and titles, and titles and names are linked to viliages or islands.

For years polynesians named thier children after already existing names in the family, And these families all had titles. So it was easier to prevent inbred generations from being born.

http://youtu.be/TLiHn2qaZTU

Heres a link to the villiage Pili aau title came from whom the Pilikaea/Piliauau was born, the father of the Ali'i Aimoku (Kings) of Havaii.

Oooh shit i deal with people like that all the time. You ask them what their ohana inoa (How they get their Hawaiian Blood) and they can't give me an answer. But having said that, a lot of Mixed-Hawaiians like me don't have a Hayn last name because our fathers or somewhere our familly took a Non-Hawaiian last name. So sometimes they may have blood but can't explain... But that's like 1/10 times. 9/10 times if they can't they BS Lol.

I can trace my Geneology to the mid 1800's.

Brother, you have nothing to worry about Last Names.(LOL)

Traditionally Polynesians like Native Americans never had Last Names. It is only later as the European system of recdording population through census, marriage, birth and death certificates that last names were created.

most polynesians got last names by either using the fathers first name, the family title name or just picked one from thier arse, and wrote that down on records and families have been using it since.

If you look at records of polynesians right at the begining of Euro contact you see that the area where last names are placed its is usually blank. And signatures were either the persons Tatau design like the Maori who signed with thier Ta'moku on deeds.

Title names are probably the easiest way to trace your lineage outside offical records and it would be an interesting task for you as Title names like Pili Aau originate off big island.

But Last Names for tagata are only recent, so dont sweat about it. You probably notice Hawaiians with Hawaiian names grabbed from anywhere cause it sound cool, So its gonna be harder on you.

but I suggest once you find the Title name held by an ancestor and common names you find appearing in your geneology.

Dump your english name and restore you family name with the title and if you have kids give them the Hawaiian names that appear constantly in your findings.

I know it sounds a bit to much, but remember this. You are not English. You are a descendent of the Vikings of the Pacific. Your Culture, Kings, Land and Identity were stolen and destroyed. And its time to rebuild what was destroyed and find what was lost. And if people cant pronounce you long arse FOB name than fuck them.

That be a white man thing haha. Yeeah i traced my familly line and one of my first surnames (When we were forced to make Last Names) was the name of an ancestor. Also i found out i got Ali'i Koko in me.... A lot of people do they just don't know ha.

I tell you something brother.

I truly believe that our forefathers were the first to reach America by sea. The idea that our forefathers floated like pieces of shit in a swimming pool and discoved the islands is british imperialist bullshit.

The fact that everytime they went to island after island (even continent) and found the same peoples, speaking the same languages, same culture and knowledge of each other. Is proof that we did it first and obviously did it better, centuries before these jonny come lately wanna be's who couldnt even swim jumped on the scene.

They are in denial of who was the greatest exploreres and voyagers in human history. If you look at Captain Cooks routes during his voyages. The amount of times he go's around the same patch of sea, loops aimlessly and misses lands. It is plainly obvious to the beholder that this guy was either retarded or didnt know where the fuck he was going.

Yet they say we fluked our voyages.

I also believe that we are the first true multi-racial peoples (If you believe in race) in human history.
It is obvious by looking at the evidence genetic, archeological, lingustic etc that we do not have a "single" migration route. But are the Sons and daugters of multiple voyaging nations from east, west, north and south. Whos collective knowledge of voyaging came together and gave birth to the hybrid "Polynesian navigation" of the Tautai.

This is why our antigenes of our DNA have multiple contributers African, Asian and American. But these jonny come latelys cant stomach the fact that the Ancients of the world were sailing the seas. while they were wiping thier arses with rocks, squating in caves, dragging thier knuckles on the ground when they walked and banging beasts in the bum.

We must toss away the imaginary history, teachings and names of the Barbarian. And practice our own science, use our own names, speak our languages, learn our own history and culture. That is far older and noble than the Barbarian tribes.

Very good points ! I do believe that we travelled across the pacific regularly , but did we originate in Canada ? The Hawaiians claim to have migrated from Haida Gwai'i , the west coast of Canada . Google " Canadian Connections Maori " food for thought ? Cheers !
