We need a another stage and call it "POLYNESIAN CENTRAL STAGE". I have been to Pasifika Festival from 5006-2012 and it kills my legs to walk from one stage to another because the area is huge and there's no shortcuts because of the lake in the middle. In all that time there, I can estimate that I've only witness 1/50th of its performances. I DON'T WANT THAT!!!
I want to be able to witness all Polynesian dances performed in one stage. I've missed out a lot of good performances because I may have been at a different stage and I can't be at different stages at one time to see all these good performances. I assure you this stage will have the largest crowd because it will showcase EVERY dances from DIFFERENT islands. People and especially foreigners to Polynesian cultures prefer to see traditional dances to it's purest form, not Polynesian r&b bands and Polynesian rap music that I see every year to fill out the lack of good performances.
I've noticed times between performances on other stages can be from 10 minutes to even an hour. MC will usually use this time on talking, some island jokes and even contemporary dance. Please this is Pasifika Festival and many people are not there to see these contemporary dances. Many people want to see traditional dances Polynesia has to offer.
If we can roster dances from different islands on this stage with a 5min break from different performance, people will be compelled to stay to witness this magnificent event without missing out.

You'll make a good stage manager and organizer Mana! Since you're great at logistics, why not volunteer your services to the Festival Committee?

I have a stage fright and MCing is the last thing I'd do cos I don't like people looking at me. I prefer working from behind stage. Volunteering would be great. Off-topix: I've always wondered if all the Samoan and Tongan topix trolls make good volunteers...That'll be a day to remember seeing them help out the Poly community... Anyways, can someone forward the letter above to the Festival committee please. I've tried to post it on the Pasifika Festival site on the comment section but it didn't go through. I'm not sure why but I would like to know what they think of the proposal if you call it that. Thanks
