Props to tonga but they got real lucky in that game... Before that game in RWC Tonga had lost 9 straight to Samoa. Not making excuses but Samoa went in there thinking it would be just another easy game, underestimating them and Tonga took advantage.
So are u saying tonga cant beat samoa??

Well done Manu Samoa! Well done!
I follow Fiji Rugby religiously and I am really disappointed with their performance in recent times. After a while I learned that every rugby nation goes through a phase of development and more often than ever, this occurs post world cup. Learning that 19 out of the 30 players to the Northern Hemisphere campaign are locally based is somewhat a daunting nightmare! Itís like taking a knife to a gun fight. After all the criticisms levelled at the Fiji Rugby Union, Management, Coaching staff and the players in the past weeks by self-appointed experts of the code- whose numbers by the way are rising exponentially- I have come to the realization that the phase or cycle has begun. This phase in Fiji Rugby is nothing compared to the past. More local players are being recognised at Test level. Local competitions are lifted three notches. These are testing times. Failures and humiliations await Fiji Rugby. But these men will gather all fallen pieces along the way, pick themselves up, dust themselves off, regroup and LEARN. The road to London in 2015 is full of failures, heartaches and pain. But we are determined more so than ever with a stronger spirit and Godís grace upon us, we will surprise the rugby world in London in 2015!

Well done Samoa and congratulations.

Samoa lost to France (sigh). But I pretty sure our 9th ranking is safe since we lost by less than 15 points. Tonga had a great win against Scotland so they'll move up to 11th (I think), just behind Italy and Samoa. If Tonga had won by more than 15 points they would've been in the Top 10 again. It can be pretty confusing.

I said that before the 2007 RWC, Samoa had beaten Tonga 9 times in a row. About 3 months before the 2007 RWC, Samoa thrashed Tonga 50-3. They went into the RWC game thinking it was gonna be an easy win. Tonga ended up winning 19-15. CLose game but Samoa got complacent, and Tonga took advantage of that. Anyways to answer your question, I didnt say Tonga cant beat Samoa, but Samoa usually wins.

I want a Pacific Island team to win the next World Cup. Fiji, Tonga or Samoa (preferred choice :D) or any team for that matter! As long it's not a team from the top 8 (shown above).

Island rugby have struggled from time to time. But we've shown top tier countries as well that we islanders have got what it takes.

Plus w/out island rugby! rugby would be so boring to watch :)

Hope Australia smash wales then that means wales will drop out of the top 8 an will be stuck in a pool with the abs sth africa an one of their brothers from the north lol. Samoa will finsh 7th if aussies win meaning they will be the 2nd seeded team in their pool. Dont know how things will end up but on current standings samoa would be the 2nd seed in the same pool as australia along with italy, canada and spain. How bout that for a favourable draw for samoa theyve earnt it guaranteed place in the 1/4s.

For the samoa to lose points france would have to beat them by more than 15 an depeding on the teams above them winning both argentina an wales got thrashed by plenty so they lost points which kept samoa in a good position. You get more points for beating teams above you and you drop points if you lose by plenty. well thats how it was expalained on this other site i was on lol.

Yeah, I didn't take those other games into account. Samoa did lose like less than half a point from that loss (I'm pretty sure)...
