It is getting harder and harder to listen to Russian television from Moscow. Perviy Kanal news readers all seem to be on benzedrine or crack cocaine as they are speaking and reading so fast, that the Russian they speak has degenerated into a a lingo - gibberish read by speed freaks. The Russian language in Russia is often incomprehensible to Russians in the rest of the world.I switched to Ukrainian Russian news, as they seem to speak at a normal speed in Russian there still. I would say it is the heavy Asian and foreign influences that has ruined Russia's speaking style. It is very sad . The traditional stytle Russian language is disappearing in Russia. How odd it is, that one must go to Ukraine now to hear proper Russian spoken !

Some Russians one can understand, but some speak total gibberish. With 200 nationalities in Russia, there is too much language polution from various tribes. It is true that better Russian is spoken in more slavic,Ukraine and Belarus than in many areas in Russia which are heavily asian and islamic now. Go figure..... Some Russkis, can't even respond to an important issue in proper Russian, but they want the world to listen to them !

I am a Russian language speaker. I totally agree that the Russian spoken in Ukraine and Belarus todayis closer to the true traditional Russia language. I just can' stand the the newsreaders on Perviy Kanal in Moscow. The females look like cocaine and bezadrine induced coke whores reading their " Speedy Russian " at 100 km per hour and the male news readers do their "Speedy Russian Street Lingo "in garbled Russian Pimp Talk ( Zdras Drugh style). No wonder Ukrainians and Belarusians do not want to speak Modern Russian. Russian is becoming total street garbage lingo. It is true that Ukrainian and Belarusian languages sound more like traditional Russian and that spoken Russian in Russia is very, very poor.Just sayin....
