Someone should tell the self appointed mayor he does not represent East Ukraine, he only represents a few hundred people. Maybe they should also point out that Putin has lost interest in East Ukraine as their only goal was to make enough fuss over East Ukraine to draw attention from Crimea, now that is done they have no more interest in East Ukraine, so Ukraine must march in now and put a stop to the proRussians harming people.

Self appointed mayor certainly represents the East Ukraine more; than the West appointed Government in Kiev represent the entire Ukraine.

United States goal is to break down and weaken Russia as much as possible. Even now that Soviet Union is broken down, US is still afraid of Russia. US wants to be a world judge and wants other countries to follow them, but that is not going to happen. And they afraid of Russia, because Russia is strong enough to stand up for their believe instead following US like most of other western Europe countries.

Aaw, Russians padding on each others backs, ain't that sweet!!

You should all crawl back to russian websites and raise the patriotic spirit to your own people.

The outside world has just about had enough of your lies and propaganda and you will soon all be crushed by real facts.

What a shame that your brainwashed brains aren't capable of forming rational opinions, all you come with is the propaganda that was fun in the beginning but now it has made you look like a bunch of lunatics.

Nice way to do PR for your country, lol

BTW no Western country is acknowledging the criminal 'referendum'.

And you should know from the history that you will be screwed - once again ;)

Over 90 percent of people voted to walk out of Ukrainka.
Are we seeing Ukrainka being dismantled into pieces?
It certainly looks that way.

Correction: Kreml tries to sell that number as the truth.

Read other news also. Some people voted 5 times and one separatist asked his leader what he should say to foreign reporters if they ask who he is: "Say that you are an objective observer" was the reply.

Illegal voting is illegal voting, no matter how much you try to butter it up.

Pay attention, this is step one in Kreml's plan.

Then where did the massive troops of commenting people come from? Did they just wake up one day and decide to swamp all sites to prove people that Russia is the victim and Ukraine is the villain?

Putin’s Orders of Service reward his visible army of TV, print and on-line journalists. Left out are the equally important invisible cogs of his propaganda machine; namely, the social networkers, rumor-mongerers, and the armies of trolls, poised to attack any unfavorable media. This invisible, clandestine army, toiling away in obscurity, is an indispensable weapon in peddling the Russian narrative of “neo-Nazi extremists” backed by the U. S. state department and NATO, who usurped control from the “democratically-elected” Ukrainian president. We know Putin’s visible media and can evaluate it as such. We cannot say the same for Putin’s social media warriors, who operate behind a veil of secrecy, anonymity, and assumed identities.

As a personal example: within a few minutes of my posting of just about any Russia or Ukraine article on Forbes.com , the trolls flood the comments section with insulting, cajoling, combatative, and ad hominem attacks, overwhelming the possibility of any meaningful dialog. I am not alone. The Guardian readers’ editor reports 40,000 comments a day by an “orchestrated pro-Kremlin campaign” of pro-Russia trolling on Ukraine stories.

Fortunately, the Western media is coming to understand and recognize Putin trolling. As they say: the first step in winning a war is to know your enemy. Include the Russian trolls in the enemy camp.

And you are part of the cyber trolls who constantly attack Russia on forum.

You have been spewing your hatred against Russia on Topix long before the Crimea crisis and the uprising in Kiev.

You have been on this forum (you and many others) to constantly berate Russia, its government, its people, etc... and you are surprised that your methods are reciprocated!!
