Sorry Leonid, but I didn't grow up hearing jokes about Russians.
I only heard jokes about Poles, Norwegians, blacks and hispanics.
However, we were told about how everyone only wore grey and worked 15 hr days in nuclear bomb factories. All of you. Except the KGB of course.

I just moved to Ireland to serve as mentor at my sect's formation house.

I've lived in the U.S. most of my life, and only travelled for my sect for the past few years.

"Sect"?? Do you belong to a cult?

I thought you said you've lived there longer than that. Plus, you talk like a Brit (or Irish person)

Not a cult. We're older that "Orthodoxy". We never accepted the Cappadocian heresies. lol

Why? "boyo" and such? I did read at Oxbridge long before you were born. Perhaps it's a family thing.

Seems to me that a lot of jokes and stories around the world are all about the same. Change a name, a country, a few words and you have it. Here in Texas there is a university called Texas A&M (Aggies for short). For decades there have been jokes about them. Most of them they made up themselves. It's a very good school but the jokes can be funny. Here is one. Mind you it's better if told in person instead of typed but her goes anyway..........

Two Aggies were out in the woods hunting one day and came across a naked woman sitting on a tree stump. The woman looked at the two men and asked, "What are you boys up to out here?" One of the men answered, "We are hunting wild game." The woman replied, "Well, I'm wild and I'm game." So they shot her.

“Hello. America? It's me.”

This is most funny anecdote. We worked 8 hours, we were given a free apartment, free us were taught and treated free of charge, and to our parents were given free tickets to a holiday home by the Black Sea Coast every year.=))

Medvedev says Putin:
- If in the United States will succeed Bush McCain, I will say that their vaunted democracy is not far removed from our own. And what to say, when suddenly Obama wins?
Putin, on reflection, he answers:
- Say that the U.S. failure the export of "Color revolutions", and switched to imports!
***
- Why Obama not jokes on himself?
- That be does not seem racist.
***
- How to distract the president of Pindosii(slang. US) from public affairs?
- Throw him a basketball ball.

If we put 2 and 2 together, that means that you are KGB?

Because you can't possibly claim that all soviet people were given what you were given.

You have to remember that you are talking to a muscovite here. Of course this loser can't comprehend that other republics fed most of his miserable area. I think only production Russian SSR had was car, weapon and tractors. Oil, coal and countless other vital raw materials came from elsewhere. I am not sure if you had heard of this guy, but the oil in Russian SSR did not come untio Azeri Farman Salmanov discovered those fields. By the way how much you would guess non-Russians worked at Russian SSR. I am not sure how you guys made it happen, but my understanding is that a person from another soviet republic could travel to another republic for work or vacation. I am not saying non-russians build everything, but as Mr.Salmanov proves, people who came out side of Russian SSR had even at same areas vital influence on todays Russia.

It was NEVER "free". Some person ran the energy plants that provided heating and electricity to your "free apartment". Some other person clean it and took out the garbage. Soviet state paid them a similar salary that they would pay to basically all of the citizens who worked. ha ha. Yeah. That health care sure was A class. Could not stop ya kholzhozniks from drinking and smoking, could it. Fact of that matter is that ya lazy bastards had most of the jobs you did not want to do done by uzbeks, kyrgyz, azeris and countless ethnic groups ya heheheh "Great Russians" hate. They didn't want to clean ya shyt after 1991 anymore. This is why ya angry and crying.

A Russian runs around, screaming, "The world is over", "the World is over". Panic ensues, and the villagers run everywhere. "How do you", asked a villager, "The Vodka Distillery just burned down to the ground" replied the Russian.

Older.

What you think of as "Orthodoxy" is really a late 3rd century amalgamation of Alexandrian, Syrian and Cappadocian alterations of post diaspora Sadduceeism and Phariseeism. I mean, really, all that ritual nonsense and cartoon kissing the original practice of the Jerusalem community under James? of the rural son of a carpenter?

Wipe the bling-bling out of your eyes.

" ... my yoke is easy, and my burden is light ... "

NOT all the stupid and unecessary complexities and structures and observances and hierarchies.

"easy" and "light".
