Ha! I bet you do not walk very much alone at night. We do have some very dangerous cities with high murder rates. All are poor economically . St. Louis, Missouri . Newark, N. J. and Camden, N. J. I do not go to unless I am armed. Moscow is more dangerous than New York City. And in the context of this thread, it is academic that Russia is fifth for murder and the USA is 24th.

you was explained why Russia is sixths -if you measured US murder rate during Vietnam war and include soldjers killed in Vietnam and their Viet Kong and North Vietnam victims, then you'd be probably number one in that list -as for safety of Moscow - again - go to the links I provided - those links are to american sources - it clearly indicate that Moscow is safer then majority of big american cities as far as murder rate is concerned...You are delusioned if you think that in Moscow or any other big Russian city (exept for Caucases ofcource) there are places dangerous to walk at night -in Russian (and Ukrainian and Belarussian) cities we have no ghettos like you have in US cities (South Bronx etc.), so all reagions of our cities are more or less the same safe...In New Yourk people are afraid to cross Central Park at night - what else proove do you need?

here is South Bronx by the way:

Well, lets take a wood chipper. There are many warning signs not to get to close to the whirling blades, and if you ignore these warnings, it will suck you up and shred you into little pieces. Thus, a wood chipper is for sredding wood into chips. But if you ignore the warnings, it would shred you into little pieces. Thus it has a potential to be a killing machine if used incorrectly..

On another note, I see Putin is clamping down on your neo-nazi Slavic Union. Bet that crimps your xenophobic style a little, eh! So how many "Troops" do you have now? ten? 20? lol.

They are included in the unsolved murder file. We have several thousand now. Actually most of our murders are never solved. Sometimes, we will just place a murder victim into our suicide file, and call it a case closed. I am mean we have more important things to do. It gives us more time to collect bribes from living people and more time to sober up.

<quoted text>but there is a WAR going on in Russia in the south - how do you want to get less numbers of murders?- are you stupid?- you should make measures of murder rate in peace time,or at least exclude Caucases from statistics - then you'll see that in other (then Caucases) parts of Russia murder rate is not bigger then in USA as per capita...For example in New Yourk murder rate is bigger then in Moscow as per capita - do you know that?
Does Russian Goverment knows the war is going on in their country?

I live in Russia and never heard about it. Very strange.

Really, You are dismissing so easily the fact that over 10,000 (according to Russian source http://english.pravda.ru/russia/economics/06-... ) women in Russia are killed annualy in domestic violence (most by knife or by beating). There were total of 13911 murders in the whole US!!! http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in...

can't post links - google for crime in Russia for non-russian sources - wikipedia for example - in 2011 there were 11500 murders in Russia altogeather (including Chechnya and Caucases by the way)- so your figure of 10 000 anually killed women in domestic violence is bs.- especially that you give link on Pravda - official paper of Communist Party, which is the only real opposition to Putin as you know and is slandering about everything with the same energy as they did in Soviet time (but now you repeat their propaganda after them)

Russia is a murderous and dangerous country. Comparing such with the USA is again apples and Oranges. Russia is number five in world murders while the USA with a bigger population and armed citizens is ranked 24th.
Statistics prove nothing. I lived in the United States for 32 years and saw countless assaults. I was robbed, raped and shot on three occasions. I lived in mortal fear every time I venture out at night in any city alone. I've been living in Russia now for 9 years and never had a single problem even when traveling home late at night. I've never seen a single assault, and even verbal arguments are extremely rare.
