I repeat:

There are plenty of people here in the US who speak near perfect English but they aren't American.

Where did I say we spoke "American"??

USA actually didn`t win any war alone. In the 1st and 2nd world wars, they were in the end in Europe, when the most of the job was done by others. The fact that Americans truely believe they liberated Europe says hey are ignorent about history. If they would face the REAL German war mashine, not those divisions consisted of old men and teenagers, Germans would mince "brave" American army into dog food just like they did with British and French armies.
As for JApan, Americans seem to be unaware of the fact that most of fighting with Japan was done by Chineese. If Japaneese would have those millions of soldiers they had in China on the islands, Americans were taking during the war, I doubt that USA would have taken any at all.
Where USA did fight alone anyways?
Oh, right, in Vietman. lol.
American society never faced real war since the end of the civil war and don`t imagine what real war is like. Even Vietnam was not real war. Real war they saw in the battle of Ardens, where true German combatant divisions, removed from the eastern front, gave Americans hell and made them run away. If it was not for Soviet offencive at the time, German would have driven Americans back to the sea!

Well, I seem to forgot the topic at hand. Who would win the world war? The answer is obvious - no one. Because of nuclear weapons. Who would win it if huclear weaons would not exist? I think Russia. Yea, I`m quite aware of the fact that American army iss a way stronger than Russian now. Yet this means nothing. Russia has great military industry and those factories can be made worke for 24 hours/ 7 days a week. Russia has a lot of weapons left from USSR too. This might be lod and outdated weapons, yet it`s better than nothing. At least, Russian soldiers will not lack of ammunition like it was in 1941. A great deal of US army is navy which is useless for war in Russia. American marines will be killed in several weeks of hard fighting. Russia is not a desert like Iraq,it is the land of woods and swamps, very much like Vietnam. American have no chance to succesfully fight in Russia with Russians.
Russian invasion to USA? I don`t think it`s possible. American warships will destroy Russian transports on their way to America. Russian invasion to Europe? Very unlikely too. What Russia really could do is to occupy Baltic countries - Estonia, Latvia and Lithaunia. In this case Americans would not be there in time to protect them.

Vasiliy, how strong was the Soviet army when the Nazis invaded? How well equipped?
Weren't they even using bayonets during the battle of Moscow?!

And did you win anyway?
Not because of the bayonets, of course! lol.

You're right, we would lose a ground war. Only if we invaded! Which we're not stupid enough to do - I think (I hope!)

The real situation is, that all that has been left after ussr is now covered in rust and not used since. I don't really know if Russia really produces new technologies or it's just another brainwashing on the tv. But what I really know that (I work in sheremetevo airport) ussr aircrafts are not used, except IL-96 and some other types of IL series, they are used only in domestic flights and superjet 100 that has been stolen from boing. About fighters. I heard there have been some innovations and those innovations were sold to India and some other countries.

Soviet army was strong, yet is was lcated on the western border and destroyed in several weeks, much like the French and Britis ones. Apart of some Siberian divisions, all troops in the ballte of Moscow actually consoted of yestoday civilan people. I don`t think they used bayonets very much, this is just a movie thing. Yet, I read even more fabulous things about te battle of Moscow. Like being wet as drown cats, soldier maove on in winter. FYR the winter of 1941 was the coldest one in 20th century in Moscow`s area. The frost was about - 40C.
To win ground war in Russia is very difficult. Even now the most populated part of Russia - Moscow province has a lot of thick woods, where any guirilar fighter would feel like home. Of all serious war USA waged I can only compare it with Vietman.
As for Russian invasion, as I told it`s not posssible. I heard about Stalin`s plans to invade through Alaska and Canada. Yet, he planned to use numerous Chineese infantry, cause Noa Tzedun was tottaly under his controll. Yet, as Korean war had proven, he overetimated the Chineese.

Do you think that Americans fighters are all brand new? USA has about 100 of F22, and the bulk of American airforce are F 16 and F 15. Which were desiegned in Soviet era. System Kolchuga (which is produced in Ukraine now) had proven that it is able to intersept American drones. Iran used it to intersept and even to capture and make to land Americans drones.

What is really dangerous are American studies on hyper supersonic missiles. Yet, when it will come down to occupation and land war, these missiles will be of no use.

Yeah but you won.

BTW I don't think they used those bayonets much but it scared the hell out of the Nazis :)

Stalin planned to invade us?! LOL I didn't know that.

Just imagine.... you could have been an American! ;)

Seriously though, you invading us or us invading you - both stupid ideas. Too many dead and it would take to long to win (or lose!)

We will never know how many fighters are there. But Russia investing money to produce new technologies and then sell everything right away. So the army is not supplied with new military equipment. I don't think they're that stupid to end up like this. Still the fact they're selling too much, even if the new technology like, as you said, system that is capable to intercept drones etc.

I'll tell you more. Stalin had an agreement with Hitler do divide Europe between them. As some says that was planned to play for time and then to attack Germany with all collected power. Other part of people say that was his real plan as Stalin was known as a definitely cruel person who had committed genocide on its own people is some ways.

Stalin had an agreement to divide Europe with Roosvelt and Churchil and Europe was divided as a result.

Not everything... But a few thousands of military aircrafts for defending the country is too small. I'm telling you the part I know the most, not saying about tanks etc.
