I'm glad the mighty Canadian beaver shakes fear into the Russian bear, lol. We have a military smaller than the New York City Police. Beware in the Artic we have Inuit patroling with armoured canoes and spears! We do fare straight up business. We even donate tons of wheat to Russia where areas are neglected by Moscow, why because some bleeding heart in my government believes the Putin regime doesn't truly represent the best interest of all the Russian people. Look at the deal I still don't get why it's being called into question, they received and paid for the bare minimal, as it is written and signed. My thoughts stick to Putin being pissed off that western companies are offering fare, job creating, profitable developement thus causing him heartburn. All timing. GASPROM has a board of directors that is compiled with 100% ex-KGB and FSB members, lets not pretend there common folk that pushed a broom and suddenly rose up...
The only thing you can donate is your Canadian farts but no one in Russia is interested. lol.
Russia is a big wheat exporter itself and Canda certainly doesn`t donate it anything.

As for the western companies I `m sorry for Ukranian ecology. BTW government of Lovov`s province refused to give it`s permission to extract shale gas using frackturing.

Were you statements about KGB men supposed to insult Gasprom?
You failed then. I don`t see anything bad in serving in KGB or FSB. They are not worse than CIA or Mi 6 at least.

By all media accounts that are free in Russia the FSB is the mafia, nothing gets done without one of their gestapos approval even banks employ FSB and private business are taxed by the FSB, I find it funny how Putin shuts down all other agencies because they brought to light corruption and mismanagement in the FSB, then he gives all the power strictly to the FSB including the tax agency... Wrap your head around it there's no more checks and balances and with the ultimate power comes corruption to the core. Well you got to live with it not me and if you want to pretend its the perfect be all system then knock your socks off pal. I see it for what it is. Putin has a tightened system of obedience in place based on nationalism through security. ANYONE Russian speaks out against the FSB or Putin there called a traitor and their lives get turned upside down or jailed.

Enemy combatants on the battlefield should be shot but ya Republicans set up a system to extract information, I suppose torturing enemy combatants has been a strike against the American high moral stand eh. Don't pretend the FSB are pussies they do a lot of bad shit bro. As for drugs I don't know I see South America as the producer and Mexico the battle field.

Russians will never address the real issues in their country. No economy, just a petro economy, Islamization of Russia, decreasing slavic population, rise of Oligarchs, Plutocracy and finally a Kleptocracy, a president that has a wealth of 20 billion dollars, on an official salary of 80,000 dollars USD and is a total autocrat. But....Russians would prefer to talk about primitives that lived in mud and straw huts 10,000 years ago and ate each other, while now they have a President Putin that will be in power in one form or another for a total of over 25 years ! but Russians prefer to talk abou primitives living in mud huts 10,000 years ago in Europe and wiping their a$$es with straw, and eating each other. That is the Russian mindset. So the Russian agents obfuscate, lie, play word and mind games and never discuss a real issue like ....Russia will be almost totally Muslim, in the year 2100, but do the Russians even care ? No they don't. Silly folks, those Russkis. The Russian Slavs are destined for the genetic garbage bin and will begin disappearing from the gene pool,in Russia to be replaced by more inbred primitive Muslims, within 100 years. The core of European Russia or Rus as it will probably end up being called, may survive at some level in European Ukraine and Belarus in 2100, but Russia itself will turn into another Asiatic - Islamic shithole ..... as if we need another one of those shitholes!!! But yah lets talk with the Russians about Finns and Letts and Latts, Samoyeds, Saami etc. that lived in mud huts 10,000 years ago so the Russians can ignore the fact that they, the Russians, are genetically disappearing. How very Russian of the Russians!!!!!

They are no angels, there's no reason why 50% of Russians live beneath the poverty line with so much cash spent on military, conscription, and FSB budgets.. The only people who suffer are the next generation... Sad really when potentially there's so much opportunity.

Yet we borrow from China to finance our military.

Shouldn't you show more sympathy for your next door neighbors than for far away Russia? ;-)

I still stand that the contract isn't violated.
As for sympathy, hmm a canadian battle group fought intense combat killing hundreds of Taliban, we captured your first AlQuada prisoners there, the JTF were photographed coming off a sea king helicopter with the captured terrorists but were identified wrongly as navy seals. We would have caught Bin Ladden but something the states doesn't respond to well is why at the start of the war in Afghanistan our parachute company of Commandoes given a mandate for the first time since 1953 to vaporize an enemy where blocked by US command in the whales back region by Tora Tora located in mountainous region on the Pakistan border. Our troops had Osama Bin Ladden cornered with about 500 of his soldiers when American command pissed us off and ordered us to stop because they wanted to b-52 airstrikes the region and daisy cutter it up. After 2 days of delays the fellows I talked too said the local villagers confirmed Pakistani flagged helicopters rolled in and extracted the enemy force. As the enemy buried the dead our boys dug up the bodies but no Osama, now guess where he went to... Or shall you watch the movie so I don't spoil it for you. A lot of people and companies made money in Afghanistan. The next time you want to win a justified conflict call us back and don't tie are hands.
Sympathy? Show gratitude first. We fight to win.

In the Russian press today: The falling birth rate in Russia has led President Vladimir Putin to extreme measures: A new, highly potent weapon is being used to get Russians in the mood before Valentines Day.

That weapon? R&B mainstays Boyz II Men, who Putin has hired to play one sexy, sexy concert in Moscow on Feb. 6. Songs like I’ll Make Love to You and The Color of Love will hopefully encourage couples from the world’s largest country to kick up the romance and, er, reproduce.

“Russian audiences have always shown us a lot of love,” the band told the Moscow Times,“It’s amazing for us to see fans across the world who know every lyric to our songs. We really appreciate all the support they have given us over the years.”

Two year ago, Putin announced plans to direct US$53-billion to raising reproduction rates by 2015. He warned that at the rate of decline, over the next 50 years the Russian population will drop by 30%, from 142 million to 116 million by 2050.

Hiring Boyz II Men is part of efforts to boost the country’s birth rate by 25% over the next three years. Pressure’s on, Boyz.
