Imagine if the European part of Russia were to join the EU? With Russia's military and Europe's economic strength, this new united Europe would be the new superpower in the world rivaling the United States. Siberia is way too large anyway to be administered properly and China needs the resources anyway.

In my opinion, the Russians are obviously Europeans and this rejection of Russia by the West that constantly goes on doesn't make sense. If Europe and Russia combined into one force they would be the new superpower. This is what Bismarck wanted, the great leader of Germany, and he allied himself to Russia.

Anyways, what do you guys think? Can Russia join the EU one day, and would you want it to? Hearing answers from both Russians and Europeans would be nice.

post number two hit the nail on the head. Siberia is a land of beaucoup resources and Moscow would be crazy to turn it loose. Russians are neither European or Asiatic but a combination of many peoples. Russian in 21st century is a nationality not a genetic term of peoples. you dont know European history nor genetics very well, leading me to suspect you are possibly Chinese or Chinese sympathiser. who in the west is rejecting Russia?

I don't understand... Why would Russia need to give up Siberia in order to join the EU???
Are you saying Russia without Siberia is more attractive to the EU? lol.

How would giving up Siberia benefit Russia?
What would happen to Siberia? Independence?
How long with it last before they're invaded by China?

Why goes Russia need to give up anything???? Russia is a country with its own government and its own thoughts. If they see that it is better that they don't join this or that it is up to them to choose not anybody else.

That's right! We should at least somewhere to join. Importantly, that all together. Create a shock warrior group of Texas cowboys and don Cossacks. I agree to participate. I ride horses bad, but shoot well.=)

I own several firearms. Yes mine is a Model 700 Remington 270. An MC20-01 is made by Tula isn't it? I have a AKM-47. It's a good hog hunting gun. The deer here in Texas are on the smallish side for the most part. Sometimes to hunt them I use my Bushmaster AR-15. It is configured as an M4. I only have one shotgun. A Mossberg 12GA pump. I use that mainly as a home defense weapon if ever needed...))) Just point and shoot. No aiming involved.

I wouldn't go that far but Europe was certainly better off as individual countries with their own currency and trade regulations.
