The Roman baths died with Roman empire more or less 2000 years ago. The daily washing ritual didn't become compulsory in Western until almost just before the modern age. All those knights in shining armour stunk like horsesh*t because a lot of them didn't even take their apparel off for months and even years :) The Russian tradition of banya remained the same from 1000 AD until today in stark contrast to Western Europe :) Maybe you don't like to hear it but that's the truth..:)Yes, Russians are so ill-educated, they know nothing at all of the Roman Baths that existed over two thousand years ago all over Western Europe!
When Peter the Great was trying to westernize Russia he brought a lot of Europeans around 1700AD to Russia, they all saw the daily washing ritual by the Russians as an "unneccessary savagery" :) Basically they didn't bathe at all.:)
