If Russia is divided from the EU, that will soon enough weaken the Euro, because Russia controls so much oil over there and if Russia decides, it can sell that oil to China or any number of other places, making the cost of oil rise a lot more.

When any country has all it needs and more in oil, it chooses what it wants and as Russia will not be dictated to by anyone, you can't make them.
