More than 35,000 people died in road accidents in Russia during 2008. The number of death toll due to road accidents is higher than anywhere in the world. The number of road accidents in Russia has been steadily on the rise for more than 10 years now. Russians say the ever increasing number of deaths on the road is a threat to national security.

http://www.cdi.org/russia/Johnson/9116-6.cfm

Why do you think there are so many accidents and deaths on Russian roads? Some people blame the bad quality of roads, others say too many drunk Russians are on the road. I say it is all because of Russian behaviour, low education, brutal manners or complete lack thereof, lack of respect for others, aggressive nature and the type of driving habits which are direct result of the above factors.

just in,
In 2006 there were an estimated 20,977 injury related traffic accidents in Hungary, along with 1305 people killed car accidents. According to studies Hungary’s road safety situation is getting worse with a low but steady increase in the numbers of serious crashes each year. About 13.2 percent of the accidents were related to the influence of alcohol. In Hungary the car itself rather than the owner is considered responsible for the offences committed by the vehicle, and as a result some people escape justice as they must be proven the driver.
in comarison to russia´s population..which is worst ?

Did you made that up? Besides Slovakia is Hungary. Slovakia was part of Hungary for over 1000 years.

Even according to the above news flash which you have made up yourself, the percentage of people dying in road accidents in Hungary would have been 0.013% of the total population (10 mln.), while in Russia it is 0.024% of the total population (140 mln.). So what's the catch, slovask?

Russia's increasing substance abuse problems are one of the root causes. This fretful trend does not help the demographic free-fall Russia is in.

OK, you were correct, I admit! An interesting link and there are sections on Russia and Slovakia there. By the way, why is Slovakia called Slovenia (and not Hungary) on that link?:)

I have fresher data on Hungary. In 2007 the death statistics have improved somewhat - a total 1,207 of death cases reported in road accidents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countrie...

Drunk driving..self-destructive mindset..years of being told they are the new "Superman" of the world and are invinsible..high drug use..no self-respect for each other..including no personal self-respect..the same reasons that are causing the de-population of russia. Like the fall of Rome, we are witnessing the self-destruction of russia and it's dreams of Empire..

Wow, I failed. Mostly because I was busy correcting your grammar mistakes STA.
Russian debt is lower than American, that's for sure.
So there should be "America", instead of "Russian". Maybe Russia is having bad times.
But it isn't dying. It's reorganizing since Soviet heritage proved to work bad in modern age. Changing, slowly.

even sooner, i hope than 50 years.
i´d love to see them running this world with much more influence than today within 30 years.
today, they are already financing stupid yankees´ internal debt.
hopefully, within 10 years they put a stop to it, and let´em go to an oblivion, where they belong already.
most people are tired of these criminals starting wars in the name of a yankee democracy.

Pesky is a british and not a slovak. Real slovaks know that they have to kiss you magyars in order to survive.

But you have to understand that Russia is a huge country. You have to put things in perspective.

No it will not. China has too many problems in Tibet, Xinjiang and Taiwan. Not to mention the internal problems in China.
So do not overestimate them. They are not that strong as Nazi Germany was.

Clean up those roads!

It's survival of the fittest - like a nationwide hazing.

Otherwise they'll be left with a nation of granny-drivers like, well, you know where. LOL
