Wrong. You are refering to Stalin times, but the official attitude towards German ethnics had changed considerably later. Many Germans were sent to university in the 70s and 80s, and employed in mechanical industry in and around St Petersburg.

Most of those who returned were living outside Russia (Asian republics, Ukraine, etc...) after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Most of Germans settled in Russia didn't leave at all!

I totally agree with you. This guy actually believes his own propaganda and even when I point out the fact that I have German relatives from the former SU and my wife is a German from the former SU who never experience all this crap he comes up with, he continues to be in denial. Germans in Russia were treated very well my great grandfather who was German ran one of the largest beer breweries in Russia. Germans had it very good in Russia and a whole bunch of them left when they were forced to go into the army. Under the Soviet system Germans went to school and had good jobs. What is his obsession with Kazakhstan in my wife’s town in Kazakhstan all the Germans had good jobs and went to Institute if they so chose. My brother In-laws wife lived in a town in Siberia which had nothing but Germans and they spoke nothing but German. None were ever touched by the Soviet government. They were never denied anything. He also can’t understand why would my wife’s grandmother who is German run away from the German invaders with a lot of other Germans who lived in the Soviet Union during WWII. No respectful German from the former SU living in Germany would ever tolerate such rhetoric from an individual like this. They would beat the tar out of him.

They call it the Russian Mafia because it is filled up with Russian speaking Jews but we made them change the name now they are called the Red Mafia in the US.. Germany has allowed a ton of Jews from the former SU to move there and then the Germans call them Russians. In Germany I saw mostly nothing but American shows on your television, Germany has become Americanized.
