If you want to get into the EU, you must first concede Baklava is a Greek invention and we have the complete rights to it.

Turkey has been prevented from joining thus far for well known reasons. Basescu however knows better. Isn't he smart.

Why don't you call the Turkish embassy or another official gov office? You really think you are going to get a proper answer on here? Did you not read the above posts?

exactly! thats the point noone can explain... when you take a look you will see that both Turkey and Romania are middle income countries but Turkey is pretty close to the top when romania is at the bottom...so EU keep saying Turkey isnt good enough for their union but actually romania is very very desperate in terms of development and economy...I would say poeple in Romania have the conditions that my grand parents had in Turkey in 1950s...

I assume its because romanians are just trouble makers in Turkey as they are in other more developed countries than their own ( such as the UK, Germany and so forth). most of them are criminals. they live and work in Turkey in illegal ways and jobs whşch are mostly prostitution, drug selling and so on.

I don’t understand why you would have such an outburst of hate towards Romanians. I have been to Istanbul and I did not see any Romanian criminals in 2006. Actually most people were very friendly when I told them where we were from Romania. A lot of Romanians go to the all inclusive resorts in turkey and that is why turkey has waived the visa requirements for Romanians even though Romania still requires visa for turks. As for the so called more advanced state of Turkey, if you look at the Human Development index Romania has position 63 and Turkey has position 79. According to World bank Romania has a slightly higher gdp per capita than Turkey and according to IMF Turkey has a slightly higher gdp per capita than Romania so it is probably quite close. In any event what you are doing is not very smart, Romania is probably Turkey’s only friend in the EU, in the vast majority of EU countries there is strong opposition to Turkish membership but I guess that is not enough for you, you are trying to make sure that there is strong opposition in every single one of the 27 countries in the EU.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Sagittarius

You still prefer to be in a world of your own, in which nothing nasty is happening, but at least you're feeling a little more realistic than you were yesterday. It's a perfect day for visiting somewhere beautiful, peaceful or relaxing, or for going to the cinema or an art gallery. But it will be difficult to get up the energy for any prolonged Christmas shopping.
