Hungarians are great people,with great history!And yes Transilvania is hungarian,exactly as Northern Dobridja is bulgarian and Moldova is vlas!

Police, Roma sign co-operation agreement

Budapest, January 25 (MTI)- Representatives of the police force of Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg county (NE) and the local Roma self-government signed a crime-prevention co-operation agreement in Nyiregyhaza on Friday.

Under the agreement, the Roma authority will participate in police programmes seeking to reduce the crime rate of the area and will mediate in resolving conflicts. It will also provide information for police investigations.

The minority government has also agreed to disseminate information among the Roma aimed at reducing "behaviour patterns leading to criminal activities".

The police, for its part, will pay special attention to getting information about the Roma to its staff members and will provide incentives to Roma youth to join the police force.

Five-man gang attacks Roma women, police report

Budapest, January 24 (MTI)- Five young men attacked two Roma women in Szigetvár, SW Hungary, police reported on Thursday after detaining the attackers.

The two women, mother and daughter, were on their way home from a movie on Tuesday night and were on the main square of the town when the five men, aged 17-20, assaulted them, MTI learned. The women were not badly hurt, police media liaison Zoltan Takatsy said, adding that he was unable to offer further details in the interest of the investigation. The attackers, all of whom live in the nearby town of Barcs, are being charged with violence against an ethnic group.
