Fashion students at Va. university design abayas

The assignment for Virginia Commonwealth University fashion students: design an abaya, an enveloping cloak worn by Muslim women, that is stylish yet acceptable in Arab countries.

Very good article. Most of all I agree with the freedom to wear the abaya, if that is the woman's wish (?) and should be fashionable if she choses.

Lets see, they can't vote, can't go out in public with out a male escort. They can be beaten to death or imprisoned if they are raped. They are considered property and not humans. Am I missing something?
