Then why were both AGP and Eduardo Bhatia denied permission to give speeches at the Democratic National Convention in favor of Pierluisi?
Maybe there was no space.

Even Bill Clinton himself was almost denied a speech...Your point?

As a Puerto Rican, I am more dissapointed in your own colonized mentality.
Washington depends on colonized people like you.
Your disappointment is misplaced as you should be disappointed in the hundreds of thousands of PR voters who did not vote for statehood. Your own people let you down and now you will have to live with colonization for years to come.

Anyone wishing for a Washington plebiscite on its colony in Puerto Rico is the owner of a colonized mentality.
You have to break those mental, colonial shackles before you demand anything from Washington.
I am not the one living under "colonization". Why on earth would I ask anything from Washington regarding this issue. It's YOUR issue.

Wrong, again!

Challenges never dissapoint me (quite the contrary).

Our cause now SHOULD BE to prevent Congress from reducing our struggle into a "statehood vs. colony" one (which is the colonial easy way out of their own historic inertia).

Pierluisi has to avoid this new Congressional trap (designed by Congress as soon as they heard the plebiscite's results on the first question).

Como un Cubano de NY , si me permiten, les regalo unos cuantos "Miami Cubano" politicos.

"Cuban-Americans have “perfected [corruption in government] in many ways to a fine art.” That is not correct, however, because if corruption is done that well, it is unnoticed and subtle. Corruption in Miami’s Cuban-American government has been crude, blatant and openly defiant"

"Miami Named Worst-Run City in America, Hialeah is Tenth"

Congratulations Miami-Dade County! We're home to not one, but two of the ten worst-run cities in the entire United States of America
