www.caribbeanbusinesspr.com/news/pdp-divided-...

Puerto Rico has the highest paid state legislature in the nation and the 2nd most expensive to maintain after California - and we all know where California is headed ....

I believe that legislature reform is needed. For starters I believe the "at large" seats should be abolished.

The Territorial Senate has 31 seats (2 per each of the 8 districts and 11 "at large"). I believe this should be reformed to perhaps 12 senatorial districts each with 2 senators for a total of 24 senators.

The Territorial House of Representatives has 51 seats (40 district and 11 "at large). I would change this to 48 district seats (double the number of senators).

What's really strange is that NY State Senators are paid more and somehow the body overall is cheaper than Puerto Rico's Territorial Senate ...

It's started.

Now that the PPD is controlling both houses. There is resistance to change within their own party.

The irony.

I have come to the conclusion that Alejandro Garcia Padilla is, like his idol Obama, an AMATEUR.

He likes to campaign but has no idea how to govern.

What kind of moron alienates the Legislature 2 days into their term?

Well, just like the Israelis say of the Palestinians.

"They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity".

I guess the same could be said of the populares at this point.

I thought they would have had some kind of game plan in place...If this is any indicator of the next 4 years. Than it's going to be a real mess.

I think the 200,000 PNP voters who either stayed home or voted for AGP will be having alot of "buyer's remorse" ....
