I agree, that Martin was profiled as well, especially that Zimmerman made non emergency phone calls previously on AA teenagers. You can see where his mentality was at and the racist slurs he used when he called 911 on Martin. One of his own family member gave her testimony on how racist Zimmerman and his family was they hated AAs. His ex girlfriend who is Puerto Rican and Argentenian also said that his mother did not like her and wanted Zimmerman to marry an Anglo woman for better social status.
That does happen. No ideas what his mother thinks.
But I do know discrimination up close and personal. Not only was my inlaws opposed to my marring my husband, my own family didn't want the relationship either. They all changed their minds, but we had lots of problems back in the day. And not just from them.
I was called all sorts of things for having a Hispanic boyfriend.
Boy how that has changed! Today I have nieces and nephews that are AA.
My brother also married a Hispanic woman and so did both his sons!
One adopted AA children.
And fostered many more.
I have to admit I did enjoy it when out like at the grocery store and I would run into them and they would yell out Hey aunt Pam!

He is what he is ..."It turned out this wasn't Zimmerman's first run-in with the law. He had previously been accused of domestic violence by a former girlfriend, and he had also previously been arrested for assaulting a police officer. More controversially, in July 2012, an evidence dump related to the investigation of Martin's death revealed that a younger female cousin of Zimmerman's had accused him of nearly two decades of sexual molestation and assault. In addition, she had accused members of Zimmerman's family, including his Peruvian-born mother, of being proudly racist against African Americans, and recalled a number of examples of perceived bigotry."...-The Huffington Post | By Jermaine Spradley Posted: 07/13/2013 10:02 pm EDT

I agree. It is very tough to lose a child. One felt his mother's pain as she was speaking.

<quoted text>I agree, but over on the PR forum you have brought that up talking about Al Sharpton and all.
Honestly, I think the lawyers are the only ones I saw during the trial talking about it, from both sides!
People that want to make it into a race thing have their own insecurities about race.
Then you should take this up with the AA's and the liberals who are largely making this about race.

Trayvon did what he did but he did not deserve to die the way he did.It is very traumatizing for a mother to lose her child in a tragic way( i.e murder,or illness)

Nube,

Nobody deserves to die like that. But, Florida has some very unique self-defense statues on their books. It's a whole other universe down there.

He lost as well. His life an his family's life will never be the same. And it appears as if this is gaining some more steam.

There may be prosecution from the feds. As well as the state civil lawsuit. I think he may beat the civil suit. It will be an uphill climb for the Matins to win since he got a not guilty verdict. Although, not impossible. The bar is not set as high to get an award for the family.

Prosecution from the feds and anything thereafter?...Nah!. He is stuck.

There was no racism in the 911 call until the tv station edited it to make it sound that way

In the case of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman,.....If I was the defence I would simply ask the jury....."According to what has been seen and testified to thus far, who has showed bruises and cuts of an actual phisical beating on his body, Zimmerman or Trayvon?....Zimmerman, no? Who did not show any signs of any bruises amd beationgs at all, except for the one bullet wound in his heart that infortunately ended his life? Mr Martin, yes?
So who would been the doig the screaming for help and assistance, the one winning the phisical fight, or the one receiving the be obvious physical beating and brusing? Mr. Zimmerman. no? When did the screaming finally stop? When the one shot rang out and put an end to Martin's beating and life, when then George saw that his life was no longer in imminent danger.
Most people would not scream if winning a fight, but most all would scream if losing a fight while having their head bashed to a concrete sidewalk. Yes or no?
No more cameos...

the PR forum needs you here....bro!

This is emotional blackmail by the paid race hustlers.

I can't believe our attorney general is not speaking sense. There is no way that Zimmerman can be federally charged. It's not happening.

I guess you dident get the memo. Rules and laws do not apply to the Obama Administration, they rule by decree.

Holder sent guns to Mexican drug cartels so they could kill more Americans ... you think he cares about double jeopardy? If Obama wants him charged federally he will be charged federally.

I hate to say it, but even the Clinton's look better than this bunch.

This was what the worst cynics envisioned of Obamas presidency. It is almost surreal.

Now, that he is a lame duck president. He's just going to let it all hang out.

Power to the people!...LOL!

Seriously...This is really blowing up out of proportion. A number of significant issues are in the forefront.

Many attorneys will be looking to take on Zimmerman's case if he is federally charged.

This isent even a race thing! Martin wasent killed because he was Black, he was killed because two macho men couldent back down.

NBA star Charles Barkley says that the jury rendered the correct verdict. He goes on to state that Travon should not have even been charged and the prosecution didn't have enough evidence.

Thank you for speaking some sense, Mr Barkley.

Right, in the old America ... but this is Obama's America where he rules by decree like a king.

BTW did you hear his latest? "35 years ago this could have been me" - so 35 years ago Barack Obama was sneaking around beating people up just because they followed him?

This guy just wont quit until he gets a race riot. He WANTS us to be at eachother's throats. Why? Because that will take attention away from his failed presidency.
