This whole thing is messed up, I sincerely hope Trayvon gets justice for this. If this man walks it gives everyone else the right to scream self defense, for everything. George is double that kids size come on!!! This whole thing is a mess. Again, I hope Trayvon gets justice smh.

Zimmerman had more body weight. My point is all of this needs to be looked at from the very beginning. Zimmerman had no business following this kid at all. Whether Martin looked suspicious or not. What looked suspicious? that he was wearing a hoody and walking? He ignored the police dispatcher and followed this kid as if he had any authority to do so, he didn't introduce himself. One is going to go into flight or fight response. It has been revealed that Zimmerman had enough knowledge. He had this " wannabe" cop high and shot him in the heart that was Unnecessary . I don't care if this man is Hispanic, white whatever he is I will never support his actions. It's embarrassing that some of the Hispanic community is supporting this solely because he is Hispanic. What is wrong is wrong no matter the race, ethnicity etc. I feel bad for the Martin's family no mother should have to buried their child for such disgusting act. Martin was walking that's all he was doing, he was unarmed. This type of crimes are happening too frequently some people think they are above the law. Enough!!! People get treated like animals With their rights violated daily and when people retaliate it's a shocker.

IMO this case can be summed up pretty easily: when one moron met another moron. Both did wrong that led to the shooting.

Trayvon Martin also has past criminal behavior that should be taken into account. He was arrested for breaking into lockers in the girls gym of his high school. He was also involved in an attack on a bus driver. He was suspended from school for 3 incidents: the above mentioned robbery, as well as being caught with marijuana, and defacing school property.

He may had priors, but I think it's irrelevant to the case. The bottom line was that Zimmerman needed to stay in his car as he was instructed. I can understand if this kid was breaking in someone's home and was armed, that's a different story. Like I said whether he looked suspicious or not he should've been left alone and if he was plotting to do something then Zimmerman should've called the police for intent of burglary, that was the cops job not his. Pot, things stolen that he didn't get convicted for does not mean this kid deserve to be killed in cold blood. I have a feeling that this man will get acquitted of all charges and if he does time it will probably be manslaughter. He's going to get away with murder smh. I forgot to add in the Toxicology report it only showed a very small amount of marijuana in his system, while Zimmerman was not screen for any drugs it's very bias. Paramedics however reported that Zimmerman was on a prescription drug called Temazepam and adderall which can cause aggression and hallucinations. My point will always be had he stayed in the car none of this would've happened. This could have been avoided.

Wrong Zimmerman 185 Martin 200. Look at the recent photos of the thug. Stop watching Wolf and Chris. There had been breakins in the community, hence the neighborhood watch. He had a screwdriver with him and 11 wedding rings. I've been married twice, my ex's 3 times, between us (including the ex husbands) are 10 rings. Every indication is that he was "casing" the community for his next break in.
You are correct in that it is sad to have bury a child. Even if it is evident she threw him out of her home.

As I stated three times, this whole thing could've been avoided. Zimmerman should've called 911 emergency if he had his suspicions. You don't go around following people. He is not a cop, that's why he is in the situation he's in. I don't care if there's been burglaries he had no right to follow someone he is not a COP!!! For Christ sakes!! The police would've handled the " thug" as you like to call him.

I beg your pardon I need to stop watching what? Wolf and Chris? I have no idea what you're talking about.

Your argument is that it appeared as though he was going to break in? Correct? Who's job is that to stop him? Yes the police end of story

You're are making assumptions on size based on pictures? You know how many times the whole height and weight thing has changed? First Martin was 6'0 and 160 pounds now he's 200, he was previously 5'11 and 140 pounds they keep changing it. Who cares? This was a senseless act and could have been avoided.

Btw, don't approach me as though I have no sense I have been polite with my responses regarding this case.

I am not here much anymore. Don't have the time. Besides, too much drama.

But, this one i will answer.

They were both in the wrong. But, that Martin kid was nobody's angel. He was beating On Zimmerman and Zimmerman had a right to "stand his ground" and defend himself.

All of sudden there is "family unity" now that there is a possibility of a lawsuit. Where was the family unity as this kid was being raised?. Was he taught to respect authority?. Or how he should handle police or police like encounters?.....His extracurricular activities were not wholesome by any stretch. He was on track to becoming a bum. That's the truth. I have seen his profile on social networks as many of us have.

Although, Zimmerman should have listened to the dispatcher. He was much too overzealous. He still had a right to defend himself.

There was also a rash of break-ins in that community prior to that happening.(On a side note...In Central Florida home invasions happen frequently. People will just roll or walk up to your house and rob you with you being there)

So young this kid was. What a shame!.

==========

I say manslaughter or he will get off on "stand your ground".

No WAY Trayvon Martin was 200 lbs. Have you seen the pictures? He looks pretty scrawny.

Like I said, he was no angel like his family is making him out to be ... now it does not mean he deserved to be shot.

I am also hearing reports that Trayvon was already home and purposely ran back out to attack Zimmerman. Apparently he said something about it to the girl he was on the phone with. IMO that's a game changer.

Who is angel in this society? So he wasn't a cookie cutter teen it does not justify Zimmerman's behavior either. "Wannabe cop" Kim kardashian gets flour dumped on her and there's an immediate arrest. This man killed someone and it took awhile for him to get arrested am I the only one who sees how messed up this whole thing is? His life was in ruins?, there have been people involved in far worse crimes and have changed people deserve that opportunity. He was only 17 Zimmerman was 28 he should've had better judgement. It is disgusting that people are so insensitive just because he wasn't an angel who is in this world?

This case has been handled very poorly. Even if Zimmerman gets acquitted he will have to live with what he did. To shoot someone In the heart was Ill will he could've aimed someone where else if he feared for his dear life. Let anyone here get followed at night by a stranger to see what you will do. It's very easy to be one sided. " he had no respect for authority" I missed the memo where police officers are all law abiding and don't abuse their power. They are not all bad but cops are people too and they are not all innocent and righteous. I've witnessed people getting violated but then it is expected for people to follow orders when they themselves break the law? Very hypocritical.

I am so done with this subject, I am so disgusted... With human kind altogether. We are so use to hearing about homicides, rape, etc that we have become immune and have lost empathy for others, it is a damn shame.

"At the end nobody cares "

Lastly, my prayers go out to the Martin family and even Zimmerman's family because they have to pay as well without them pulling the trigger it is a tragedy in both ends.

He was neighborhood watch, when caring about your neighbors is a bad thing something is seriously wrong. He was on the phone with 911 and they told him you don't need to do that, they did not say don't do that. The kid had to come back to show that "cracker" a lesson, otherwise they wouldn't have been in the same place

People have the God given right to doubt the system and it's decision regarding this case and many others. I don't agree with burning down businesses, houses and destroying any property. People should not; however eat whatever is fed to them. The justice system makes mistakes ALL the time. We have innocent people behind bars and we also have people that should be In jail. I don't know in what fantasy world people are living in thinking that these people always follow the law and there's JUSTICE for all that is a load of crap. I don't agree and I am probably the only person in this forum who does not agree with the verdict and I refuse to eat what is being shoved in my face. Does that mean that I will go and riot NO!! But I have the right to disagree with the decision and speak my mind. In my opinion justice was not served this man walks, he was a complete robot throughout the trial. In his own words he said , he wouldn't change anything he did that night thus has no remorse whatsoever.

I agree with you.
He ought not have been carrying a gun either. And he ought to have followed the advise of the police. We didn't get to hear all the truth in that case because most of it wasn't allowed at trial.
There was no way for justice to be done in that case because they were both wrong.
Trayvon was wrong to go back and confront that idiot wimp that thought he was doing the community a service.
It was a sad, sad, case and one that only Trayvon and the idiot with the gun will ever know what really happened.
Personally, had Trayvon really been hitting that guys head on the cement his head would have slit like a watermelon. It didn't look as bad as kids that play football would.
And had that guys nose really been hit hard, it wouldn't have had the swelling go down that fast.
I think he panicked and already had the gun out when he fired it. I think he was a wimp and had bit off more than he could chew and killed a kid and he needed to do some time for it.
I watched every minute of that trial and I don't think true justice was served.

Pam,

I totally agree with you, this man made himself look even worse after saying he wouldn't change a thing if he had to do it over, he is delusional and thinks he's a hero ( rolls eyes) I've been called out because I don't agree with the verdict. What most people fail to realize is that I have witnessed injustices in real life, not some news I read online or watched on T.V. So in fact that makes me have a broader perspective in the sense that I know that the justice system is not always right. I had a neighbor back when I lived in the Bronx ( hard working) man who was a victim of mistaken identity. He did a year in prison before the detectives found the right guy. He did not come out the same after doing time, only God knows what happened to him in that prison. He was given a cheap settement and an apology. That is only one out of many that I've seen but yet I don't get any credibility because of my age, gender and where I'm from, instead i am told to stop watching " wolf and Chris" and have my Intelligence insulted. I'm glad that you really evaluated all the details and yes I agree a lot was kept from us in regards of this case.

LOL , you two act like Zimmerman did something illegal , he didn't. the injustice is convicting him on opinion no matter how wrong it is. He does not make himself look worse by saying he would do the same thing, he protected himself and thats nothing to be ashamed of. I was attacked and had to draw my gun to save myself, I didn't have to shoot but I would have and will if need be, but then my head wasn't getting bashed into a sidewalk......

You can LOL at yourself right now. I am far from exhausted in explaining the samething over an over. This could've been PREVENTED point blank!!! That is the main point. This kid was not robbing anyone or armed Zimmerman needed to contact the police not a dispatcher if he was so suspicious of Martin. It was a crime in my eyes so knock yourself out in proving me wrong it won't happen. Just don't waste your time. What is the matter with people I do not and refuse to side with Zimmerman's actions that should be respected!!! Am I quoting anyone here for being "happy" that a murderer was released no because that is their decision to side with a demented man like that. How do you take a life and know that by simply staying in your car and wait for authorities this whole thing could've been prevented? And say he wouldn't change anything. even some battered wives have shown some remorse for killing their spouses, this man is stone cold. He looked over medicated during trial. I advice you to leave me alone I am not Mrs peachy. His head was so bashed that they were considered minor injuries. You don't follow people anyone who dares to follow me will get a reaction it's human nature. If I were you I wouldn't bother replying I am sick of people like you trying to shove their inputs in my face. Enough!!!

Florida has very tough self-defense statutes. It's a parallel universe down there compared to many other states when it comes to self defense laws. The verdict was correct according to what the jury was provided with. The prosecution didn't do its job. Perhaps, he shouldn't have been charged in the first place according to the laws presently on the books in that state?

Why did Martin come back after 4 minutes?. No. He did not go home. We know that now. But, why did he come back and pursue Zimmerman?. What was the purpose?.

The entire case and the central question of whether Mr. Zimmerman or Martin initiated the confrontation could have all gone differently with the right surveillance.

It could have been solved it very quickly with a camera in the right spot. I'm surprised because most of those gated complexes in CF have many cameras.

The whole thing is very sad.

I think it's best for all if Zimmerman leaves the state. At least, temporarily.

Leaves the state? He's gonna have to start a one-man space colony to get away from all the people who will be gunning for him!

Im also surprised there were no cameras. They have gates manned by security guards 24/7 but no cameras ... seems strange but perhaps they were in a blind spot.
