Niuyoricans use their "PuertoRicanness" as their weapon against discrimination.

We. Puerto Ricans, have used our rights as US citizens, in demanding that our intrinsic Puerto Rican Spanish be respected by anyone and everyone living here, where we are the MAJORITY.

Niuyoricans are a discriminated New York minority, and as such they view life and behave socially.

We, Puerto Ricans, are Puerto Rico's majority and as such we behave socially and view our lives.

Why do each and every stateside Rican enclave want a "saying" on what goes on in Puerto Rico while their own communities lack a direct access and share to the US political and economical power centers?

The longer some stateside Ricans refuse to demand from their own states equality, and insist on manipulating US Americans with their so called "Puertoricanness", the longer some Puerto Ricans will refuse their inclussion in our society.

"....We’re at a crossroads now. AmeRican children are not identifying with the island as much, and, we, here, are fighting a last ditch battle to keep them from falling into the abyss of white, corporate American values or the opposite, the lack of purpose or commitment to family and community associated with a permanent, marginalized underclass...."

You have a tendency to speak out of both sides of your mouth with issues. On one hand you want to be a state and on the other you refuse to conform to United States ideology and requirements. It is very confusing Jorge.

I wonder why Jorge endlessly talk about Luis Raul who hardly anyone here is familiar with. At least, not too much.

Yet, when Ricky Martin is mentioned. Jorge always manages to put a disparaging remark about Rick.

Why?......

It seems to me that Ricky Martin pretty much owns himself.

I saw no such announcement from Jorge's idol Luis Raul...You see...Luis Raul most likely died due to some pre-existing condition that was in all likliehood exacerbated by his reckless lifestyle due to his extracurricular activities with his rumored use of narcotic substances.

It was NO secret in PR that he enjoyed to party.

Could it be that Jorge is envious of Ricky Martin because he has inborn advantages.... He is also quite rich and has the life Jorge fantasizes about?....LOL!

Jorge actually went out of his way to criticize Ricky Martin when Martin came out of his shell with the new book. It was very palpable criticism of Mr Martin.

Why, Jorge?....Ricky Martin gives a world wide platform for the island and he seems to be a genuine person with his support of children's causes.

I still remember when Rick came on the stage and performed a Bomba and had children of every color and announced to the world.

"These children represent Puerto Rico. We are all races"

He is a true orgullo for the island.

He is not a drug addicted comic.
