I wish the environmental groups in Puerto Rico would adopt some of the methods of these environmental groups in Hawaii (They may ,in fact, know about them already).
They have has some success against over development.
Matter of fact, i may write them myself and send them some links.
I want to know more about this Hawaiian movement.

It seems that many in Puerto Rico do not appreciate nature and the environment.
Apparently the state government still does not have an environmental law code. According to them, if it is that important the federal EPA can take care of it <rolls eyes> ...

They don't realize or appreciate what they have.
They will once it's too late to change course.
One of our EPA secretaries said that PR was to overdeveloped for an island of its size. They build on the island like it's a continent.

I don't understand why Puerto Ricans are so careless about nature and the environment.
Hawaii is super-strict about protecting their natural environment. One of the reasons why the Japanese were so easily able to approach Pearl Harbor was because the territorial government refused the Army permission to place a mobile radar site in a nature preserve. This was in 1941!
