I dont understand how the suspects got away... in the middle of the ocean with no islands or places to hide. The coast guard is doing a very poor job protecting our island from drugs guns and illegal immigration...

Now everyone pats them on the shoulder like they did a good job. From a law enforcement perspective letting 4 individuals that dumped 1.4 tons of cocaine get way is a major screw up.

The shipment was intercepted 50 nautical miles from PR thats a wopping 40 miles of US territory to catch them, besides the US intercepts and arrests drug smugglers in international waters all the time for example:

This sounds like the typical catch 1.4 tons south of the island while 10 tons are coming in west of the island.....

I bet the republic of Puerto Rico will have the needed resources to capture each and every drug smuggler, at the same time, in the island's four cardinal points.

In the Republic of Puerto Rico the smugglers small boat would have gotten blown to smitherings by our expert marksmen....

...after seizing for themselves the ton and a half of the produce in order to distribute it themselves....as everyone does in every Caribbean narco republic.

Once again the US- Latin American double standard... The Caribbean countries are narco- republics but the US isn't..... wrong the US is the DRUG MONOPOLY, and the violence and drug smuggling that Latin America is suffering is fueled by Americas thirst for drugs. Also Marijuana cultivation is huge in the US and most marijuana in PR actually comes from the US. The California government LEGALLY makes millions of dollars in tax revenue from marijuana. In Mendocino county California marijuana cultivation is their main economic engine.....

What double standard?

You are the one who goes from posting a superficial message, with absolutely no substance.

Puerto Rico will turn from a narco colony to a narco republic...in order to supply your own drug addicted fellow Americans.

Why do you twist my messages?

It is you who insist on being American and then denies it!

I unfortunately spent my teenage years in the states, out of my 3 decades of existence I spent 16 in the states, I'm actually quite young and I personally have suffered too much discrimination and have witnessed how drug addicted "my fellow Americans are"....

We have to help our fellow Americans, by closing our Caribbean frontier.
