...created Salsa music?

Even when Tito Puente hated the term "salsa"; the music genre took a whole life of its own in NYC's Puerto Rican enclaves (definitely NOT in Cuban Miami).

In fact, the "salsa" movt. started way before Cubans began arriving "en mass" (as expatriates" to the USA.

Celia Cruz, La Lupe and many others found in New York City's NewYorican enclaves their true musical careers.

...living in Puerto Rico, after their parents decided (for many reasons) to return to the islands to bring up their kids safely, created the "reggaeton" musical movt. which took the whole world by storm?

In fact, it was in the islands' NewYorican enclaves in Bayamón and Carolina where reggaeton's biggest exponents evolved and created their best music.
