OK, fine. As for his stats concerning single motherhood he is correct. Ann Coulter has written several columns over the past few years stating similar findings. Jorge neglected a couple of other things. Children of single mothers, have higher truancy rates, lower learning skills, and are more likely to join gangs to gain a "father figure". He is disingenuous, as he thinks Puerto Ricans are unfairly represented. Blacks have a far higher representation than Puerto Ricans. Dr's Williams, Sowell and Carson have all pointed a way out of this morass to little avail. You are from the Bronx, observe the member that area sends to the NYC Council and the NY State legislature look at what is sent to the US House of Representatives.
A fellow who fails to pay income taxes on his rental property, not in Puerto Rico, but in Dom Rep. By allowing themselves to be represented by thieves, Puerto Ricans, Blacks or any other so-called "disenfranchised" ethnic think they will move out of poverty and gain the American Dream, they are better off "investing" in mega millions.
Every last one of them remains in office by selling "they,re just gettin back at the da man" Meanwhile getting rich hand over fist by their owners. Where do you think BHO got more re-election money? Hollywood or Philly, Harlem, Detroit, Bronx combined. The reason being, WJC and BHO can be bought by the glamour of attending Hollywood parties.

I take it that your referring to Rangel? Need I mention that Rangel owns 4 subsided apartments, one of which he uses as his office in violation of the rules for owning a subsided apartment.

Rangel is one of the biggest crooks on The Hill.

But hey that's what happens when you vote D right across the ballot. People get the government they deserve.

I have to check out some of Ben Carson's books. I hear he has some very common sense ideas. Born and raised by a single mom in poverty, now a neurosurgeon and a potential future Republican presidential candidate.

Hard work is a must. People are only poor because they want to be poor. This is the result of the cradle to the grave welfare systems supported by the Democratic Party. Why work if da gubmit will provide?

Jorge needs to read "One Nation, One System" by Democrat turned Republican Herman Badillo. Very good book.

Ah Herman, I couldn't remember his name. He was the running for Mayor and the Republicans let Bloomy buy a slot on their ticket. Bob Grant, and rightly so, tore the Republican leadership a new one for that.
When I'm around the computer on Sundays I tune him in. Now there is guy came up from the bottom and made it, does the best interviews of anyone I've ever listened to. He also has at least one good book, Let's be Heard". Carson's book is good reading, Sister in Law had it. Her school in Houston, got a grant from his foundation. Can you imagine a fellow doing that, putting his money where his mouth is? Unlike others who buy schools on other continents and adopt children from same. As if we haven't enough of our own.

<quoted text> You never will, Jorge is calling Stats facts one day and then the next when it's incovinient for him he calls it bias and unreliable. The reason for this thread along with the multiple New York one's especially Bronx threads are done for ridicule. I am from Connecticut and was born in the Bronx, so he's using this to try to put me and another poster down. It has nothing to do with him trying to discuss solutions or any concern it is done for pure entertainment on his behalf.
Nobody can ever put you down you unless you let them.

I'm sure we both are doing a lot better than he is. I don't even pay attention to his postings anymore. I see his name and i glide right over it.

The guy is obviously insular. He is also a poser who i highly doubt has ever traveled much and seen the world in actual real time.

Generally speaking...Stats can be also be manipulated to fit any particular worldview you have. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum.

That's what happens when a poster goes overboard. They eventually get ignored.

"Nobody can ever put you down unless you let them" I know that's right!!! I was explaining the motive behind all of this. I know Stats can be very manipulative I found that numbers varied regarding this issue about single mothers in CT.
