Poland's loyalty to US a one-way street?

Do Poles still love America? According to some publicists, their attitude to the US is definitely getting less enthusiastic.

How true.

We can blame Bush and the neocons for most of the change in attitude towards America.

And notonly in Poland but in the whole of Europe as well. Obama has a helluva job if he wants to recover goodwill in Europe.

Brainwashing is the name of the game with the neocon controlled TV networks. What else can I add.

It stinks and is communist control of a different type.

So where did you stay in the States? And what pissed you off the most to make you go back ...other than problems of a sexual nature?

I don't even know if I have the right to comment on this, but I have had the chance to travel to Poland and I am an America.
The truth is I would move to Poland in a second if I wasn't in school. Polish people both men and women were so respectful and nice, that when I came back to America I was depressed.
America's problem is it's ignorance (and fast food but that is a whole other story). The fact is Americans know nothing, but there small picket-fence world and sadly that fence is rotting away.
I hope that someday I will be proud to be an America, but as of now, No. I do hope the world doesn't hate all of us, we are not all bad.

On a side note Poland is a beautiful country.

I agree.

It saddens me that such a feeling may exist in Poland. I remember being so thrilled to find out that Polish special forces working along side the U.S. Navy SEALs were some of the first to fight in Iraq. I don't know how one American can express one's gratiude to an entire Nation. I'm sure that if more Americans knew the extent to which Poland helped American forces there would be much more respect shown.

For what its worth, I have given up French and Russian vodka for Polish vokda. I know that sounds stupid, but what more can one person do other than write our worthless politicians?

I am the Grand daughter of one of your hero's. In 1920 he was frontline to free Poland. In Polish Army 1951 he took what remained of his family and from England he came to the USA. To return to Poland was a death sentence as he was labled as enemy of "communist Poland" and this is how they were dealt with.

Poland lost 40% of the people to death and relocation. The USA gave us a home when Communism took ours. We are here in large numbers and love the country we were denied. We fight for the right of Polands people that they shall never be abused by any country, be it your neighbors or the one that took us in.

Poles should always fight for their rights including Polish Americans here in the US. Polish Americans should always be on guard against defamation as well.

Do you read any Polish American newspapers like "The Post Eagle", "Polish American Journal" or "PoloniaToday"?

Yes, I try to keep up to date. Much time is spent correcting false information in print and anti Polish that hits media.
