32 non-governmental Human Rights organizations appeal for not to adapt a presidential bill limiting freedom of assembly.

The organizations alarm that the presidential project will significantly deteriorate the constitutional standard set for freedom of organising peaceful demonstrations. In their letter, addressed to unpopular Ewa Kopacz, the Lower Chamber Speaker, they point out at prolonging a time limit needed for legalising a rally from 3 to 6 days, and lack of regulations related to the so named “spontaneous gatherings”.

The action is coordinated by the Local Citizens Leaders’ Association and Helsinki Foundation.
