militant lawmakers making demands on the president?
the embassy already answered the question about if it was any danger to precious filipinos.
your militant lawmakers are the ones deathly afraid of the US/Filipino relationship , lest they end up having their corrupt life styles turned upside down by any professional American presence.
pity these characters dont really have the filipins best interest at heart.

any flip lawmaker that doesnt want a foreign presence in the fils while they are being bullied by china should be jailed for treason.

There are 2 Predator Drones owned by the Philippine Intelligence and it might be one of them but im not sure. Anyway the Philippine owned drones were extensively used in Mindanao.

Get into a rift with China and see who the Filipinos ask for help then??? And apparently this asshole has no problem with terrorists being in the southern Philippines. Terrorists that the Philippines have been trying to remove for decades without much success. Lest you call me a Filipino basher, I lived in Cebu for almost 3 years, I have a young daughter living in Cebu, and plan to retire there within 3 years. And what would the Filipino military look like without the help of the USA????
Sadly, what amc said about the politicians in the Philippines is very true. So much political corruption. And it is also sad to see the way that rich Filipinos treat the average poor Filipino.

Anyway I just saw the picture of the recovered drone in the news it was a target drome not a spyplane drone like the Predator. Target drones are used as terget practice maybe a reminiscence of a Balikatan Exercise.

Anyway what concerns me is that the Philippine Government is already infiltrated by corrupt communists.

When Fidel Ramos became the President of the Philippines became a Tiger Economy and many infrastructures were built and that time the debt of the Philippines with the IMF was all paid for. When Estrada became President, he kicked out the US bases and the Philippine economy fell with a nose dive making way for Estrada's Chinese friends who were gambling lords, druglords, smugglers and crooks to take over the Philippines. Estrada's best friend Atong Ang is the most notorious Chinese who conducted many monkey business in the Estrada zoo gorvernment.

your country has an insidious cancer that all of the corrupts have control over.

it is not a killing cancer unless you try seeking the cure. in that case you will more than likely die from it.

the sheep that stay in line will continue to suffer from the cancer eternally until the time comes when they are able to rise up from it and regain their country.

since i have been here (3) years many have died trying to fight this cancer while others just stood back and watched them die and said nothing.

apparently the population enjoys their cancer.

When "Filipino's" stop polluting and destroying their own waters, when "Filipino's" stop selling their own people into the sex trade and human trafficking, when "Filipino's" start enforcing their own laws, when "Filipino's" take responsibility for their corruption that prevents them from everything from having a military to foreign business not being extorted. Then blame the Chinese.
