On March 16, 2002, a 16-year old INC member filed a complaint in the police station against her brother-in-law, also an INC member, for raping her several times. Myra de Leon reported this in the newspaper Bagong Tiktik. According to the victim, she was raped seven times from July 2001 to March 1, 2002 in their home in Muntinlupa City by her sister’s husband Allan Ferrer, 32. The victim, who was temporarily staying in Baseco Compd. Port Area, Manila, reportedly had wanted to file a complaint against the rapist much earlier but did not do so due to her sister’s request, and also because the perpetrator was a fellow INC member. But after the last incident, she decided to proceed with the lawsuit. According to the victim, a high ranking police officer who was also an INC member tried to convince her to withdraw the rape charge, but she did not desist.

Priest who had sex with boys now tells how to smuggle ivory 2102 217 comments () By Brooks Egerton/Reporter

Monsignor Cristobal Garcia was supposed to be kept away from children -- but we found him working with a squad of altar boys.(File 2005/Staff photo)
National Geographic‘s new issue exposes the ivory business, which has been hiding in plain sight since a worldwide trade ban was enacted in 1989. And a major player in the magazine’s story is a priest in the Philippines whom I wrote about in 2005 when investigating another global-trafficking phenomenon — the Catholic Church’s movement of sexual abuse suspects across international borders to escape justice.

The priest, Monsignor Cristobal Garcia, is now quoted as explaining how to smuggle ivory into the United States:“Wrap it in old, stinky underwear and pour ketchup on it.” And if an icon won’t fit in a suitcase? Here’s how National Geographic‘s Bryan Christy summarizes Garcia’s advice:“I might get a certificate from the National Museum of the Philippines declaring my image to be antique, or I could get a carver to issue a paper declaring it to be imitation or alter the carving date to before the ivory ban.”

Garcia also made provocative comments when I interviewed him about why he fled the U.S. in 1985. He admitted having sex with altar boys and supplying them with drugs — but said he did it because they threatened to accuse him of abuse. One boy “not only seduced me, he also raped me,” Garcia told me.

My story was part of a Dallas Morning News series called “Runaway Priests: Hiding in Plain Sight.” Reese Dunklin, Brendan Case and I documented more than 200 cases in which Catholic clergymen had gone abroad and stayed in ministry.

Most of our project disappeared from our website during a redesign years ago, so I’m republishing the Garcia story on the continuation of this post. It originally ran on March 16, 2005, under the headline:“Priest accused of rapes finds prominence; Filipino church leaders welcome Garcia despite incidents with altar boys.”

CEBU, Philippines – Here in the cradle of Asia’s lone Catholic
stronghold, the Rev. Cristobal Garcia is one of the most prominent
faces of the church.

He oversees worship practices for an archdiocese of 3 million
believers. He bears the baby Jesus’ image during annual ceremonies
that draw throngs into the streets. He led his cardinal’s advance
team in Rome five years ago when Pope John Paul II declared a
Filipino sainthood candidate to be blessed.

It’s a far cry from his despair of 20 years ago, when the Dominican
religious order expelled him after a nun told police that an altar
boy had been found in his bed in a Los Angeles rectory. The priest
fled to his hometown Cebu Archdiocese – which, despite a warning
from the Dominicans, put him to work anyway, with children, and
persuaded the Vatican to honor him with the title “monsignor.”

Respected leader

Cebu Cardinal Ricardo Vidal also has allowed Monsignor Garcia to
form a monastic religious society, whose young male recruits call
him their “supreme motivator.” The Society of the Angel of Peace is
based in a village outside Cebu, where the priest also oversees a
chapel, a children’s Sunday school program and a squad of altar
boys.

“I don’t think they [Filipino Catholic leaders] have the same
standards or concerns we do,” said lawyer Lynne Goodwin, who
defended the Dominicans in a 1988 lawsuit filed by one of Monsignor
Garcia’s former altar boys.“I don’t think there’s any consequence
for bad action.”

Paul Corral, who was the plaintiff in that case and obtained a
financial settlement, said he was stunned to learn of the
monsignor’s high-profile ministry.“I never thought he would
continue that charade,” he said.

Cardinal Vidal is not available for interviews, aides said. He has
not responded to written questions.

Monsignor Garcia, in an interview at his religious compound,
acknowledged having sex with Mr. Corral and another Los Angeles
altar boy when they were in their early teens.

One of them “not only seduced me, he also raped me,” the priest
said.

The boys, he said, obtained sex, cocaine, marijuana and money from
him by threatening to accuse him of abuse.

“Who would believe me?” said Monsignor Garcia, who is in his early
to mid-50s.“What can a foreigner do?”

His accusers call that defense absurd.

Monsignor Garcia questioned whether U.S. bishops’ 2002 “zero
tolerance” policy was an overreaction.

“I wonder if some of it is a face-saving mechanism” or “damage
control,” he said.“In the Third World, the damage is done. Too
bad. Live with it.”

Filipino bishops apologized in 2003, as their U.S. counterparts had
a year earlier, for past secrecy in dealing with sexual misconduct.
They acknowledged that this “created the impression of cover-up”
and “could have enabled abusive behavior to be repeated.”

The Filipinos steered clear of U.S.-style zero tolerance, under
which a single confirmed incident of child abuse leads to permanent
removal from ministry. Their policy is more flexible:“The bishop
will limit the ministry of the individual or even prohibit it, if
warranted. No ministry with minors or unsupervised contact with
them will be allowed.”

Still works with kids

Long before that policy was adopted, the Dominicans’ attorney said,
the Cebu Archdiocese assured her that Monsignor Garcia would not
work with youths.

Yet he began doing so immediately, said a man who worked with him
as a priest in Cebu.

The man, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he feared
retaliation, said Monsignor Garcia is nearly untouchable because
his family is one of the richest in the Philippines. The family
owns the country’s second-largest electric utility.

Monsignor Garcia said he has been a target because of his family
wealth. He said the cardinal “gave me clemency” after reviewing a
psychological report on him and material from the Dominicans.

Officials of the religious order said their records don’t show why
they did not ask the Vatican to defrock him.

“They washed their hands of him,” said the other former altar boy
with whom Monsignor Garcia admits having had sexual contact.“It’s
as if no one wants to face what happened.”

That man, who is suing the Dominicans and the Los Angeles
Archdiocese, said Monsignor Garcia used to have him act out scenes
from pornographic videos in exchange for drugs. He said he remains
deeply traumatized.

Carla Hass, a spokeswoman for the Dominicans, said the order has
learned in the last year of the priest’s prominence in the
Philippines.

‘Distressing’ situation

“I can’t overstate how distressing that is to us,” she said.“He’s
a bad actor in every conceivable way.”

Monsignor Garcia was never criminally charged.

Jane Levikow, who served as a nun at his parish in Los Angeles,
said she called police after a priest told her he had found Mr.
Corral in Monsignor Garcia’s bedroom on a Sunday morning in 1985.

Mr. Corral and his parents said they later spoke at length to
police. The parents said officers told them there was nothing they
could do because Monsignor Garcia had left the country, and their
son didn’t want to detail the abuse.

Police said they have no record of the matter.

Ms. Levikow, who is no longer a nun, said she’s not surprised. The
officer she spoke to, she said, seemed eager to protect the
church’s image and promised to “bury” the report.

“It was a different climate then,” Ms. Levikow said.

Why are there still Catholic priests who are conducting masses for the dead when they are already reported of having committed rapes and child molestations???

Is the Roman Catholic Church running out of replacements for these erring vicars of the false Christ mentioned in the Holy Trinity??? It is very funny that this cult is teaching the dogma of the Holy Trinity without understanding the same:

"the dogma of the Blessed Trinity is a mystery in the fullest sense" .... "it cannot be proved by reason,... nay, it cannot be even be proved to be possible"

Dog Behavior,

At the top of most Catholic and Protestant church's belfries are banyan trees, lichens, fungus, ferns, and mosses!!! And in their catacombs are the termites, cockroaches, rats, and millipedes mixed with rotten graven images whose faces are already cross-eyed due to the passing of time and too much hugging and molestations by the members of the mentioned cults!!!

But in front of every worship edifice of the Iglesia ni Cristo is a Logo and which has the following symbolism:

1. The bird is a dove representing the Holy Spirit.
2. The flame is the light of salvation
3. The shield is the shield of faith
4. The scale represents the equality of the justice of God
5. The crown is the crown of eternal life
6. The lamb is the Lord Jesus Christ
7. The book is the Bible
8. The two scrolls seen in the Bible represents the OT and the NT
9. The upside down triangle represents the equality of the members or brotherhood (Mt. 23:8);
10. White is holiness
11. Green is love
12. Red is courage

The Logo of the Iglesia Ni Cristo has been used since 1919 but only appeared in Her worship buildings in the 1950's!!! And comparing with the dirty Roman Catholic and Protestant structures an author has this to say about the Iglesia ni Cristo chapels:

" ... the INC each year dedicates approximately 100 church buildings that bristle with magnificent spires, feature concrete soaring arches, are painted in distinctive pastel colors, and display high standards of maintenance. Enclosed by imposing fences and carefully manicured grounds, each church dominate the local skyline. The imposing sacred structures of this dynamic religion have thus imprinted both urban and rural landscapes of the Philippines."

Mr. George Lamsa translated Acts 20:28 of the Scriptures by using the phrase "church of Christ" as the true Church established by our Lord Jesus Christ!!! The verse reads as follows:

"Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood."

The above translation is also authenticated by other translations and one of which is the Aramaic Peshitta Text which says:

"Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to the whole flock over which the Spirit of Holiness hath constituted you the bishops; to pasture the church of Christ which he hath purchased with his blood."
[Acts 20:28, Peshitta)

The matter are the correct translations and not the phrase "church of God" because Christ is never believed to be God by the early Christians or the members of the Church of Christ in the first century:

" ... Although these Aramaic-speaking Jewish believers saw Jesus as the prophet of God, they did not consider him to be ontologically divine."

" ... Bagaman ang mga mananampalatayang Judiong ito na nagsasalita ng Aramaiko ay nakita si Jesus bilang propeta ng Diyos, hindi nila ipinalagay na siya ay likas na Diyos (ontologically divine)."

Reference:(The First Coming: How the Kingdom of God Became Christianity, p. 13. New York: Random House, 1986.)

Get ouT from the false religions of Roman Catholicism and Protestantism!!! Get out from the spurious Jehovah Witnesses!!!

Rizalino Arrabis (Elias Ibarra's real name) likes to quote the internet. So do I.

http://jesus-messiah.com/philippines/inc/far -...

My favorite part:
Here is a scripture text he used to bear witness that INC is the true Church of Christ and contains his ordination as the endtime servant of God:

Isaiah 43:5-6: "Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you; I will say to the north,'Give up,' and the south,'Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth.'

What is meant by "from the east"?

According to Manalo and the INC central administration, the word "east" here is from the Hebrew "mizrach" (Strongs 4217)--sunrise, and they interpret this to mean the far east, the Philippine Islands.

So, according to Manalo, he was to bring the offspring from the far east, the Philippines. Bring them where, to what location? Manalo never really interpreted this as the Philippines or we would look even further east for the land to bring them from to where the Philippines are located. Going east there is no land until you reach AMERICA! But it is claimed this prophecy was Manalo bringing souls into his Iglesia Ni Cristo church out of the 7,100 islands of the Philippines. Manalo is nothing but a Filipino false cristo.

Does Isaiah 43:5-6 apply to Felix Manalo? No! It applies to Israel the nation, the people of Isaiah to whom he was prophesying!

What is the context of Isaiah 43? The Filipino people or Israel? It is Israel!
Isa 43:1--But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Isa 43:2--When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Isa 43:3--For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Isa 43:4--Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
Isa 43:5--Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
Isa 43:6--I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
Isa 43:7--Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Base Gardiner,

Yes, the "east" mentioned in Isaiah 43:5 is the Far East or "mizrach"!!! The Smith's Bible Dictionary states also as follows:

"On the other hand mizrach is used of the far east with a less definite signification (Is. xli. 2, 25, xliii. 5, xlvi. 11)(Isaiah 41:2, 25, 43:5, 46:11)...".

The Philippines is the one referred to in the verse because Brother Felix Y. Manalo is from the Philippines, and in the same manner, he proselytized the Iglesia ni Cristo first in her!!!

There are offspring or children of God who would emerge from the Far East at the period biblically known as "ends of the earth." These people are the "other sheep" of Christ and the ones prophesied by the apostles who would come from distant times and places. In a related prophecy, the Far East or place of origin of God's people is described as "islands of the sea" (Isaiah 24:15, New International Version)

The fulfillmet of this prophesied group of God's people is none other than the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines. The Philippines, composed of more than 7,100 islands, is a country that is geographically situated in the Far East.

Base Gardiner,

Yes, Brother Felix Y. Manalo is always correct biblically!!! The Far East is indeed "mizrach" in Hebrew!!! The country in which this prophecy was fulfilled is the Philippines, "the country which stands almost at the geographical center of the Far East"!!! A historian says of the Philippines:

"It cannot be without significance that the country which stands almost at the geographical center of the Far East, the Philippines, should also be that which Christianity has taken the deepest root."

Reference:[ Dela Costa, Horacio. Asia and the Philippines, p.169]

This is where Brother Felix Y. Manalo preached about the Church of Christ (Iglesiani Cristo), which was registered with the Philippine government concurrent with the outbreak of World War I on July 27, 1914.

Base Gardiner,

Yes, the Iglesia ni Cristo and Brother Felix Y. Manalo are correct biblically!!!Let me post again Isaiah 43:5 and 43:5, 6:

"From the far east will I bring your offspring, and from the far west I will gather you." (Isaiah 43:5, Moffatt Translation)

And in Isaiah 43:5-6, it says:

"Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north,'Give them up!' And to the south,' Do not keep them back!' Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth." (NKJV)

After the gathering of God's children in the Far East, in what direction will the true Church of Christ (Iglesia ni Cristo) go or proceed in order to conquer the false religions such as Catholicism, Protestantism and including the spurious Jehovah Witnesses??? They will be gathered in the Far West or Farthest West:

"Do not be afraid---I am with you!'From the distant east and the farthest west I will bring your people home'." [Isaiah 43:5, Today's English Version]

What is the Far West or Farthest West mentioned in the prophecy of Isaiah:

The World Almanac clarifies the term "Far West" in the following manner:

"Far West: California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii ..."
Reference:
[The World Almanac and Book of Facts, 1976, p. 88]

Therefore, the prophesied true Church of Christ (Iglesia ni Cristo) has found fulfillment in both the Far East (Distant East) and Far West (Farthest West)!!! The true Church of Christ (Iglesia ni Cristo) not only reached the Far West after achieving Her glorious stature in the islands of the sea for She has reached 100 countries and territories in less than a century with 110 ethnicities joining the Mustard Seed!!!

ROTFLMAO!
Base Gardiner,

After gaining a glorious stature in the Philippines which is the biblical Far East, the Iglesia ni Cristo will migrate to the Far West!!!

Let me post again Isaiah 43:5 and 43:5-6:

Reference:[The World Almanac and Book of Facts, 1976, p.
