What are Typhoons ?

Typhoons are tropical storms with sustained winds of 74 miles per hour or greater. The strongest ones, every year five to six in the Philippines, cause a lot of damage to houses and all that lives."

The disaster of 1991
On November 5, 1991, a great natural disaster occurred.

In Ormoc City (on the west coast of the island of Leyte) a destroying flash flood killed within less than one hour approximately 8000 people and left thousands of people homeless. In the days after the flood almost 5000 Filipinos were found dead and about 3000 were missing. Nobody of these 3000 persons were ever found and are also presumed dead. Probably brought to the sea by the 'killing flood'.

Ormoc City, 1991

A great part of the city was destroyed and thousands of houses vanished in the fast and devastating water and mud streams. A Typhoon was one of the main actors in this drama. The water and mud streams came downwards from the hills and mountain areas in the central part of the island to the lowlands around Ormoc City and the city itself. "

2 million affected during the last typhoon in PH. Pres. Aquino is thankful to the Filipino people, private corporations and countries that immediately come together to help the victims.

Yes they nobody to blame but themselves for their laziness to properly dispose of garbage. Yes they do have once a week garbage pickup in Manila and here.

Ive said this many times, the city here has green trash bins everywhere but they don't use them. They even pile it up around the bin too lazy to raise the lid. Im always in a fight here as the neighbors throw bags of garbage over the trash bin into the vacant lot. It's always left to me to supply garbage bags and get people out there to pick it all up.

Why don't you throw it back in their own backyard. Lets see if they're going to do that again. If the keep throwing trash beside trash bin. Throw it back to them. I done it and the call me crazy! I told them try throwing your trash here again and I well throw it in your face.

Understand this. I'm a visitor and a tourist here. I have no rights. I can be sued or jailed for anything and they make money off it. Unlike the U.S. any visitor has rights this is the Philippines and were ATM"S. I have to get others to do it for me.
