----------
Lucy Liu was born in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York. In high school, she adopted her middle name "Alexis".[1] She is the youngest of three children born to Cecilia, who worked as a biochemist, and Tom Liu, who was trained as a civil engineer but sold digital clock pens.[2][3] Her parents worked many jobs when Lucy and her siblings were growing up, morning, noon, and night to survive.[4] Both of Liu's parents were immigrants of Chinese descent from Bejing and Shanghai.[5] Her Chinese name is Li Ylng (劉玉& #29618;). She has an older brother, John,[6][7][8][9] and an older sister, Jenny.[10] Liu has stated that she grew up in a "diverse" neighborhood. She learned to speak Mandarin Chinese at home and began studying English when she was 5 years old.[11]
Liu attended Joseph Pulitzer Middle School (I.S.145). She graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1986.[12] She enrolled at New York University and transferred to the University of Michigan, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Liu earned a bachelor's degree in Asian languages and cultures. In Michigan, Liu worked as a waitress.[13]

Even if she wanted to be look little bit dark or in Tan machine, she won't look like a little bit Pinoy because she's obvious she has a shanty Chinese looking . I called it " Chinese color bland "(uninteresting color).

Well, again, she did this purposely to promote her new Elementary (TV series) which is aired in the Philippines on October 20. Pinoys don't watch her Movie because you're offended by her comments.

The ideal Filipino women should have rounded face NOT the oval type. The Filipino women , the eyes should be exceptionally lively, not the dreamy, sleepy type(that's Chinese , I guess because of the Opium?, I'm sorry, that's how I noticed.) that characterizes the Mongolian. The nose should be of the blunt form but firm and strongly marked.

So the ideal Filipina beauty should not necessarily be white complexioned , nor of the dark brown color of the typical Malayan , but of the clear skin or freshed colored type which we often witness when we met a blushing girl.

Most Chinese women look pale . I guess they take too much fetus as their vitamins or pills.(Sorry)And in Shanghai, its commonly thought that if you have a tan, it makes you look like a manual laborer.

No wonder I often saw too many Chinese women carrying umbrellas on a sunny days because they don't want to be look like a manual laborer. Heyyy, I love my dark skinned and it is shiny.

Most of the Chinese people like big eyes, tall noses, and of course being white skin. If you see Chinese using umbrellas, that means she used to be a manual laborer and her white skin are pirated. Lol.

Well, In China whitening products is a trillion dollar business, beauty products from high -end to convenience store offer whitening products, plastic surgery for nose jobs, making the eyes look wider,or botox, are trend in China, not just in Philippines. In western countries, white women are crazy going to sun Tanning, tan lotion, Tan machine, I don't get it, why would they do anything to their body just to impress for the sake of men.

She did it purposely. Why would she use the Filipino thingy. She shouldn't be. She could have said, I don't want to be look dark. That's it. Why would she used" Filipino thingy" I think she's being mean to Filipinos.

If there is any malice in her speech, the maybe it's her subtle way of saying, "I don't want to look like Pokwang."

My 6yo nephew would pinch his nose, pull it down and then pull with an upward flick. He does this 10 times every morning.

Apparently he learnt it from his mother he said. WTF
