Law enforcement in the islands does seem to be very inefficient. The Police Dept, the NBI and NBP are all together in need of a general overhaul. Of the 160,000 memebers, it would be very conservative to say that only about ten percent are well disciplined. The rest are there just to earn easy money as kotong cops, extortionist, kidnappers and cohorts of criminals and evil politicians. It is a well known fact that former cops or military can very often become a dangerous menace to the people. With past training while in service, they can be expert thieves, bank robbers or killers.( Attn. Mr. Roxas)

An article written by Tina Arceo Dunlao in the Inquirer is very meaningful. Most Preidents in any country are there trying to please the people the best way they can, by being too "down to earth, too chummy, "sempatico and approachable". Nothing wrong with that but in a situation like the Philippines where several not so agreeable leaders have laid their hands on, we want to see a stern looking face of our President, stone faced and commanding when on official business regarding the well being of our country in regards to crime and abuses of our government officials. An angry look can be more effective than a dry smile.

dont look to your current president for those qualities ok?

around the world he is known as the soft beggar boy who must have his x-box daily or he will pout.

for the president to be a beggar does not look good especially when your economy is growing and you have the funds to purchase your own defense weapons.

filipins needs a pit bull president and got a milk toast game player.

just another son from a dynasty and no real qualifications.

its the filipins way.

Pres. Aquino has so far shown great patience and I salute him for that,...but I am somewhat concerned why he is carrying it too far. I am more comfortable when in some photos of him, he shows a serious looking face, but never in anger. Even God is shown sometimes with a fearful look, a look that scares many people. Perhaps it is time to reconsider by looking fearful now, Mr President. Too many of the opposition and of supporters still under the spell of GMA,... prefer to make you a laughing stock when critizicing you when ever they can. Get angry! Show them you are the President ! Raise your VOICE, but erase that smile !

My comment must have left you dumbfounded huh, AMC ? Such a fast reaction from a former supporter is expected and I respect your opinion if you respect mine. Between Arroya and Aquino, P'Noy is the better one. But I will forgo any argument and stick to the belief that by choosing Arroyo, you have also told me who you are. Amen

President Aquino is getting kudos and praises from many places. No doubt, one can see right away he is sincere and unassuming. None of the past leaders of our country were like him except the late Pres. Ramon Magsaysay. Unfortunately, an accident took his life too soon. Aquino as we know is a not and never has been a Politician nor has he committed any mischief as a young man nor connected to any scandalous act, unlike many if not most of the past Presdents of the Philippines. He is CLEAN ! Critics are too fast in judging some of his acts,...they are no doubt "green with envy" for his remarkable performance. I need not mention many names of some personalities who still exist in there, but they are no match for him. He is Honest,...They are NOT.

Countryman", let us not cool down in our crusade against the Dynasties. Let us all be Filipinos seeking a government that is being steered the wrong way by by a selfish group of families who call themselves the Dynasty. They know it is wrong, but thy are so obsessed with the thought that the people wants them and will let them make our government the sucker, and the people their slaves.Let us show them that Filipinos are no longer fools by not accepting them in our polling places. Do not vote for their relatives, sons or daughter and all with the the same family name.
