Hi guys. I am a High school student of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in Bacolod City. and we have Public Speaking as our subject. One of its component is debate. And we are required to debate about a certain topic. And our resolution is: Same Sex Marriage be legalized in the Philippines. And we are in the affirmative side. I really need your help. Comments, opinions, facts and evidences of both sides are highly appreciated. Thank you so much. I really, really need your help here. Thanks again. :)

it should not be legalizad in the philippines because we are the only christian dominant country in asia, and because Filipinos valued marriage a lot and respect its meaning and its purpose in the cycle of life. Furthermore Filipinos are applying in their culture the christian virtues and that includes marriage.
Same sex marriage will never prosper in the Philippines for two reasons: one because of the strong Catholic upbringing of most Filipinos, and two, because Filipino homosexuals are far from united.

Marriage is a bond between a man and a woman, period! Forget the Catholic Church's views. There are many gay priest and even pedophile priests. Heterosexual couples live together for years without marrying so what is wrong with Bakla A and Bakla B just doing the same?

According to some Buddhist, gay people may just be souls of women who re-incarnated into the body of a man or maybe two souls(1 man, 1 woman) to entered into one body. But this is buddhist thing, and the catholic church will never accept such. It will only be up to the decision of the laws of man that things like this will be accepted. Man has now become so brilliant that holiness is almost equalled by his simple common sense. Let us not forget that we used to be people who worships the Lord.

hmf i know there is only two individual made by god..
a man and a woman..
according to the bible..
and here in the phil.
the christianity is so dominant..
i respect the church...
but we r only humans..
the 3rd sex r like us also..
a man trapped with a womans heart..
and vice versa..
they also feel what we feel..
touch what we touch..
see what what we saw..
hear what we hear..
taste what we taste..
and speak what we say..
is there something wrong about it..
dont narrow your head..
think twice..
phil. is a democratic country..!!
what r the freewill that they say..
if they will not allow same sex marriaged..!!
what about the freedom of the 3rd sex..!!
respect yourself and others..
as long as homosexual not harm us..
why dont give them there rights...
life is to short to wasted on craft..
if two both same sex r inluv with each other..
the hell we care..
its there rights..
they only want is to love and be loved back..
like us..
so dont judge like u r a perfect human being..!!
we all have sin..!!

first, marriage is nothing but a legal contract...
people nowadays don't get married anymore...
they live together...
cohabitate...
live-in partners...
boyfriend - girlfriend...
if ever they get married it's due to the legal rights of each partner...
and there's also the pre-nups, the pre-nuptial agreement, crazy agreement to ensure that the poorer partner not get rich due to the marriage...
any two sane persons can enter into these legal contracts...
if two people of different sexes can enter into these marital contracts, why not same sex contracts?
immoral? but they have been doing their immorality for a long time already?

Why should a gay couple ot have the same rights as a straight couple, to choose to be married or not?
I don't see why straight people feel so threatened by gay people wishing to commit to each other in marriage!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
