In my opinion, I don't think Mr. Ferdinand Marcos should be buried at Libingan ng mga bayani. When he removed the constitution right of filipinos during martial law his credibility was turnished.

Marcos should not have been allowed to reenter the Philippines, he does not deserve to be buried in the Philippines. Filipinos have very short memories.

marcos only help those people close to him out of people of the philippines. let this be our lesson not to re-elect the same person again. never ever again let any president declared martial law. let us not over-used peoples power to overthrow every president that just get elected. every president can only do so much for their time period. all high ranks politician to the lowest should all be accounted for in their action and judgement without excuses. ALL LEVEL OF POLITICAL EXPENSES SHOULD BE ALL ACCOUNTED FOR,investegate, approved AND SHOULD BE RELEASED PUBLICLY IAW NEW PHILIPPINE CONSTITUTION. NO MORE HIDDEN AND UNDER THE TABLE EXPENSES.

Yes he did a lot of good things, but he also brought forth immeasurable damage that we are still experiencing now; the corruption of the AFP, cronyism and etc. Had he not held on to power too much perhaps history would be different (Ninoy and other leaders would have been given the chance to run the country) and we would all be kinder to him. He tried his shot to be a dictator for life but failed miserably in making us great again. No to his burial in the libingan ng bayani! Let us not allow history to be sanitized...

It's better to bury him as a soldier IMO so the politically ridden country can move on. Why live with hate and hurt yourself forever? Were you personally affected by him not abdicating?

YES!!! He is very much qualified to be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. But I'd rather let him be buried in a very special place much much more than the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Truth will prevail even if not very soon. How do the people look up on Jesus now when He was judged by the people to be hanged on the cross because as they say He made a mistake or a bad man? Thus Pontius Pilate, the governor, washed his hands off of the people's judgement. But then the question is: When did we get to know the truth that Jesus was sinless? Just like Marcos. When will be that time when people will know the real truth that he is a hero? TRUTH WILL PREVAIL SOON.

Former Dictator Ferdinand Marcos does not deserve to be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani, a hero does not rob his country, but Marcos not only rob his country he also destroyed every moral fiber of his country from economy to education.

what's the meaning of word 'hero'? A person who done good or sacrifice his or her own life for others. Dictator most of the times, sacrifice others for his or her own good. Let us be fair or just. Hate the sin but not the person. So, Libingan ng mga bayani is the place for people who had done something good for the country. With that, we can justify if he should be together with the heros of the country. We hope he is peace by now.

Sorry but you cannot separate a man into several compartments and just pick the best one and disregard the evil ones...It's neither the hate nor the hurt, it's plain common sense to not forget so history will not repeat itself. Personally, yes i was affected by him not abdicating, he ruined a lot of lives including some of my relatives' and friends. Countless filipinos fought for what was right and accepted the consequences; FM, as an astute student of history then, should face the same. morons united wrote: <quoted text> It's better to bury him as a soldier IMO so the politically ridden country can move on. Emotions holds too much value with filipinos thats why they kill for politics or for a dime. Filipinos should really start cremating and mix the ashes into the soil and forget about it. It'll create less mess on the cemeteries and no stink from decaying flesh. Too much masochism of honor. Oh!

If you study the previous Presidents of the republic all of them has secret bones hidden in their closet...is he really that different? Yet his achievments still stand tall among all of them look around you...does the "end justify the needs" of course not! could have been worse... Our Catholic Dogma has taught us to "learn and forgive" i believe we should move on and heal the nation...I say "Yes" The Aquino and Marcos siblings are leaning to forgiveness...their talking. Let us leave this to Philippine to judge...just like "Bonifacio and Aguinaldo". Peace!
